April 4th – 10th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Wednesday April 3, 9PM-5AM, The left lane of I-65 southbound just before Trinity Lane will be closed to install a sign.
  • Wednesday April 3, 9PM-5AM, The two right lanes of I-65 northbound from Trinity Lane to the I-24/I-65 split will be closed to install temporary roadway pavement markers.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • No lane closures this week.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from I-440 to Haywood Lane

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), the inside lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed in order to repaint the median barrier wall.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 254 (Bell Rd.) from Blue Hole Rd. to Murfreesboro Rd. Including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 9PM-6AM, (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on Bell Rd. in order to mill the roadway and install loop wire.
  • Saturday April 6, 3AM through Monday April 8, 6AM, There will be one lane closed in each direction on Bell Rd. just east of Blue Hole Rd. for bridge deck repair.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday April 4, 8PM-6AM, The right lane of I-40 westbound will be closed in order to sandblast and prime the Silliman Evans Bridge.
  • Friday April 5, 8PM through Monday April 8, 6AM, The right lane of I-40 westbound will be closed under I-24 in order to sandblast and prime the Silliman Evans Bridge. Also, the right lane of Hermitage Ave. westbound will be closed due to work on I-40 westbound.
  • Monday April 8 through Wednesday April 10, 8PM-6AM, The right lane of I-40 westbound will be closed under I-24 in order to sandblast and prime the Silliman Evans Bridge.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 12 from Briley Pkwy, to the Cheatham Co. Line

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Friday and Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures for paving operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, On Call Concrete Repair

  • Thursday April 4 thru Wednesday April 10, 6AM-8PM, The traffic on the ramp from Franklin Rd (SR6) to Woodmont Blvd. / Thompson Ln. (SR155) will be shifted in order to perform concrete pavement repair.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, the inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.
  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Liberty Pike eastbound and westbound in order to remove curb and gutter and perform grading work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.
  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.
  • Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7, 7AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Repair on I-24 from SR 76 to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Wednesday April 3 through Friday April 5, 8PM-6AM, and Saturday April 6, 7AM-6PM, There will be one lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound around LM 15.00 in order to work on bridge parapet rails.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to mill and pave the roadway.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 northbound and southbound for utility line relocation work and to patch existing pavement.

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday April 4, through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Davidson County

  • Thursday April 4, through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday April 4, through Wednesday April 10, April 3, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open. 

TDOT Bridge Repair:

  • Thursday April 4, 8PM-4AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 205 for bridge deck repair.  Two right lanes will remain open.   
  • Tuesday April 9, 8PM-4AM, The two right lanes will be closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 205 for bridge deck repair.  Two left lanes will remain open.   

TDOT Utilities:

  • Monday April 8 through Friday April 12, 9AM-6PM, There will be a one lane closure on SR 11 (Dickerson Rd.) southbound in order for Madison Suburban Utility District to raise meter boxes and pave around them.

TDOT Survey:

Davidson County

  • Thursday April 4 through Wednesday April 10, 9AM-3PM, The outside shoulder on I-40/I-65 will be closed between the eastern side of the 8th Avenue Bridge and 500’ north of the Jefferson Street overpass for survey work.  All lanes of traffic will remain open.

TDOT Headquarters Materials and Tests:

  • Sunday April 7, 6AM-10AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 from MM 208 to MM 210 for pavement testing.
