TDVA to Host Veterans Outreach Event for Trousdale, Smith, Macon, Sumner and Wilson Counties

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Labor, Tennessee National Guard and the Tennessee Technology Center to offer a Veterans outreach event for Trousdale, Smith, Macon, Sumner and Wilson Counties. 

Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs (TDVA) as well as several state, local and non-profit organizations will be available to answer questions, provide information and assist in enrollment opportunities for Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries. 

Veterans will need to present a copy of their DD-214 and any other service related documents to assist with filing claims for federal benefits. 

WHO:              Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder, State Representative Terri Lynn Weaver (R-Lancaster), Veterans Benefits Representatives from TDVA, Department of Labor, Tennessee National Guard, the Tennessee Technology Center as well as other local and non-profit organizations

WHAT:            Veterans outreach event to assist Veterans and their families with questions about benefits, entitlements and to initiate disability compensation claims

WHEN:           Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (CDT)
