ANDERSON COUNTY, US 25W/SR 61 Bridge over the Clinch River in Clinton: The US 25W Bridge over the Clinch River in Clinton is reduced to one lane in each direction around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorists should be alert for traffic shifts, narrowed lanes, workers present and use extreme caution in this area. Motorists in this area should expect potential delays during peak travel hours.
ANDERSON COUNTY, US 441 across Norris Dam: Beginning Sunday, April 21, 2013, US 441 will be reduced to one lane around the clock as TVA contractors perform concrete coring. This closure is estimated to last for approximately six to eight weeks. Motorists should be alert for a narrowed lane across the dam. NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OR LOADS IN EXCESS OF TEN FEET IN WIDTH ARE PERMITTED ACROSS THE DAM. BLOUNT COUNTY, SR 33 W. Broadway Avenue between S. Cedar Street and Cunningham Street: Motorists should be alert for daily lane closures and lane shifts in this area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. through this widening project. This work is expected to continue through the first week of May 2013. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.
BLOUNT COUNTY, US 411/ SR 35 between S. Washington Street and Wilcox Street: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions in this area. SR 35 Eastbound is closed to thru traffic and detoured around this widening project. Eastbound motorists should follow posted detour route. SR 35 Westbound will remain open and motorists should be alert for possible traffic shifts in this direction. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 143: On Monday, April 22 2013, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews perform roadway repairs. CARTER COUNTY, I-26 from Washington Co. Line to Unicoi Co. Line: Motorist should be alert for possible lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. in this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions, and workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
CARTER COUNTY, SR 362 Gap Creek Road between SR 361 and Tester Road: Gap Creek Road (SR 362) is closed to thru traffic and detoured for approximately one year as crews complete roadway construction widening in this area. COCKE COUNTY, US 25/70/SR 9 Bridge over the French Broad River at Log Mile 21.6: The historic Wolf Creek Bridge on US 25/70/SR 9 over the French Broad River is closed to thru traffic as crews perform work on this bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge will be closed thru March of 2014. Separate signed detours will be in place for passenger and commercial vehicles. GRAINGER COUNTY, SR 131 between Puncheon Creek Road and US 25W: Beginning Wednesday, April 24, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible mobile lane closures daily through this safety improvement project. GREENE COUNTY, I-81 between Mile Markers 45 and 50: I-81 North and South will be reduced to one lane between Mile Markers 47 and 49 as crews perform bridge repairs through this resurfacing project. These lane closures will be in place around the clock until repairs are complete. Motorists should expect potential delays, slowed traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 East and West between Broadway (Exit 6) and I-40 on the East End: Beginning Sunday, April 21, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures nightly on Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
KNOX COUNTY, SR 1 Kingston Pike at Everett Road: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions in this area. Motorists on Kingston Pike near Everett Road should be alert for lane closures in both directions through this bridge widening project. Everett Road between the Kingston Pike intersection and Saint Andrews Drive is closed to thru traffic for most of the duration of the project. Everett Road motorists are advised to use other routes such as Hobbs Road/Union Road and Smith Road to enter and exit this portion of Everett Road. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions, workers present and use extreme caution through this area.
KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Western Avenue) between Texas Avenue and Keith Avenue: Beginning Monday, April 29, 2013, Western Avenue between Texas Avenue and Keith Avenue will be closed to all thru traffic and detoured as KUB performs utility replacement in this area. This closure is estimated to remain in place thru May 14, 2013. Motorists should be alert of changed conditions and adjust travel times accordingly.
KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and Copper Kettle Road: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times throughout this widening project. Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. Nickel Road at Western Avenue is closed to thru traffic. Motorists which normally use Nickel Road to access Western Avenue should follow Short Road. The following roads are currently closed to thru traffic for construction: John May Road at Western Avenue; South Hinton Road between Western Avenue and Third Creek Road; Jimmy Carter Road at Western Avenue and Beaver Ridge Road at Western Avenue. A short section of Ball Camp Pike between Western Avenue and Goldenrod Street is also closed for construction. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and follow signed detour routes. LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between Fort Loudoun Dam and Tellico Parkway: Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 through Noon on Monday, April 22, 2013, US 321 will be reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews perform core drilling operations in this area. Motorists should be alert for this temporary condition, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions: The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced. Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons. VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should use extreme caution and be prepared to stop approaching the bridge.
WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 75 between SR 36 and SR 357: Intermittent lane closures will be implemented in the north and south bound lanes throughout the construction project at various times. Stevenson Hill Road is closed to thru traffic and motorists may access this road from the Herron Drive intersection. Motorists should expect potential delays, be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.
