BLOUNT COUNTY, US 411/ SR 35 between S. Washington Street and Wilcox Street: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions in this area. SR 35 Eastbound is closed to thru traffic and detoured around this widening project. Eastbound motorists should follow posted detour route.  SR 35 Westbound will remain open and motorists should be alert for possible traffic shifts in this direction.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 157 and 159: Motorists should be alert for possible rolling roadblocks daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. between Mile Markers 141 and 157 as crews perform work through this rock fall mitigation project.  Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert for slow moving or stopped conditions approaching this area.  Motorists should expect potential long delays.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 156 and the Kentucky State Line: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sundays through Thursdays as crews complete final items through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speed limits, workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

CARTER COUNTY, SR 362 Gap Creek Road between SR 361 and Tester Road: Gap Creek Road (SR 362) is closed to thru traffic and detoured for approximately one year as crews complete roadway construction widening in this area.  Motorists should follow signed detour route and adjust travel times accordingly. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

CARTER COUNTY, SR 67 at Williams Avenue: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this intersection improvement project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CARTER COUNTY, SR 91 at Judge Don Lewis Blvd.: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this intersection improvement project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE COUNTY, US 25/70/SR 9 Bridge over the French Broad River at Log Mile 21.6: The historic Wolf Creek Bridge on US 25/70/SR 9 over the French Broad River is closed to thru traffic as crews perform work on this bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge will be closed thru March of 2014. Separate signed detours will be in place for passenger and commercial vehicles.  Motorists should adjust travel times accordingly and use caution through this area. COCKE/JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 25E/SR 32 Bridge over the French Broad River:  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this bridge construction project near the Cocke and Jefferson County line. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, US 25E/SR 32 Bridge over the Powell River at Log Mile 15.96: Beginning Monday, November 11, 2013, motorists should be alert for lane closures through this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

 

GREENE COUNTY, SR 70 between West Allens Bridge Road and SR 35/US 321: Motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, I-81 North and South near Exit 8:   Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this interchange improvement project.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near I-81 Interchange: On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures as crews switch traffic and open the newly aligned entrance ramp to I-81 South. Motorists should be alert for changing traffic patterns through this project.  Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near College Park Drive:  On Tuesday, November 12, 2013 and Wednesday, November 13, 2013, motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews set bridge beams. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times and changing conditions through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at the US 25E/SR 32 Interchange: Motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure at various times during daylight hours through this ramp re-construction project.  Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-81 North near Mile Marker 5.7: On Thursday, November 7, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the French Broad River near Mile Marker 425: I-40 East and West across the bridge over Douglas Lake near Mile Marker 425 is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews continue this bridge rehabilitation project.  These lane reductions will be in place around the clock for approximately two years.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and narrowed lanes in this area.  Traffic loads in excess of 12 feet in width will be prohibited and must follow a detour route.  The wide load detour will be US 25/SR 9 between Exits 424 and 432. Motorists should expect potential delays in this area during peak travel times.  Local traffic should consider using US 25/SR 9 as an alternate route during peak travel periods.  I-81 and I-26 may be used as an alternate route for I-40 “thru traffic” to by-pass this project during peak travel periods. JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 between Rocktown Road and Morelock Road: US 11E (State Route 34) between Rocktown Road and Morelock Road in Jefferson City is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews perform bridge repairs over Norfolk Southern railroad. Loads in excess of 11 feet in width are not permitted through this area.  A wide load detour will be in place utilizing State Route 92, I-40, I-81 and State Route 160.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and use extreme caution in this area.  Motorists should expect potential delays through this project. 

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West between Mile Marker 8 and Mile Marker 3: On Thursday, November 7, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible rolling roadblocks between the hours of 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. as crews perform emergency attenuator repairs at the I-640/I-75 Interchange at Mile Marker 3. The entrance ramp to I-640 West from Broadway (Exit 6) will be closed during this time.  Motorists should be alert for slowed or stopped traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area. Motorists may follow I-40 to avoid these roadblocks during this time. 

KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and Copper Kettle Road: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times throughout this widening project.  Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. Woodsmith Road at SR 62 is closed to thru traffic for construction. The following roads are currently closed to thru traffic for construction: Shortt Road at Western Avenue; South Hinton Road between Western Avenue and Third Creek Road; Jimmy Carter Road at Western Avenue and Beaver Ridge Road at Western Avenue.  A short section of Ball Camp Pike between Western Avenue and Goldenrod Street is also closed for construction.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and follow signed detour routes. KNOX COUNTY, US 441/SR 33 Henley Bridge over Tennessee River in Downtown Knoxville: The Henley Bridge is now re-open to one lane of traffic in each direction.  The outside lanes of the bridge remain closed as crews continue to work on this project.  For updated project information, go to http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/henley/

KNOX COUNTY, SR 158 Neyland Drive approaching the Henley Bridge: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures on weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. . KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 Emory Road between Gill Road and Clinton Highway: Beginning Thursday, November 14, 2013 through Saturday, November 23, 2013, SR 131 Emory Road will close to thru traffic between Central Avenue Pike and Collier Road as crews construct the fill to tie in the newly aligned roadway section.  The detour route will be Central Avenue Pike and Brickyard Road during the closure.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and adjust travel times accordingly.  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this widening project for bridge construction, utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, Watt Road/Old Stage Road Improvement Project: Old Stage Road is closed to through traffic from Johnson’s Corner Road to Shipley Lane.  Access to all properties will be maintained.  Through traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes.  Closure is anticipated to remain through Fall 2013. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73/ SR 95 underneath I-40 at Exit 364: Motorists should be alert for daily lane closures underneath I-40 during daylight hours as crews perform overhead bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between SR 2 and City Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times through this project. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, workers present, construction equipment and use extreme caution through this area.

MONROE COUNTY, SR 68 at Isbill Road: Motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures during daylight hours through this intersection improvement project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 362.4: On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West near Exit 347: On Thursday, November 7, 2013, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform traffic shifts through this project. Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrowed lanes, closed shoulders, reduced speeds, construction personnel and equipment present and expect potential delays through this bridge repair project. Motorists traveling in the right lane of I-40 East approaching the exit ramp at Exit 347 should use extreme caution and be prepared for motorists slowing down to use the exit ramp.

ROANE COUNTY, US 27 underneath I-40 Exit 347: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures daily in this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, SR 1 /US 27 over Shanty Branch near Poland Hollow Road: Motorists should be alert for traffic shifts and new traffic patterns through this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

SCOTT COUNTY, SR 29 Bridge over Roaring Paunch Creek near Log Mile 24.7 and 25.8: SR 29 is reduced to one lane around the clock and controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews begin this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville SR 139 (Douglas Dam Rd.) and SR 338 W (Boyd’s Creek Hwy.): On Monday, November 11, 2013 through Thursday, November 14, 2013 motorists should be alert for possible lane closure nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform storm drain installations and grading operations in this area.  Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily Monday through Friday through this project for utility crossings. SULLIVAN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at US 19E/SR 37: Beginning Friday, November 15, 2013, a temporary detour of SR 37/US19E will be in place at the intersection of SR 34/US 11E. Traffic signals will be installed and operational at the intersection of SR34/37 and SR37/44. The detour is estimated to be in place until August 2014. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow signed detours. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution through this bridge construction and intersection reconstruction project.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 107 at Main Street:  Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert for construction personnel and equipment entering and exiting this construction project.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions: The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced.  Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons.  VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flaggers directing traffic at various times and use extreme caution approaching the bridge.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-26 West near Mile Marker 23.3: On Monday, November 11, 2013, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 75 between SR 36 and SR 357: Intermittent lane closures will be implemented in the north and south bound lanes throughout the construction project at various times.  Motorists should expect potential delays, be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 36 between SR 354 and SR 75: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Roseview Drive is closed to thru traffic as construction continues in this area.  Motorists can access Roseview Drive via Boone Avenue during this time. Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily through this project for utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
