October 3rd – 9th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Thursday October 3 and Friday October 4, 9PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound will be closed in order to drive sheet piling at the Ewing Lane Bridge.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Jefferson St. and the Nashville & Western Railroad, including the Pedestrian Bridge over I-40

  • Thursday October 3 Through Wednesday October 9, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Jefferson St. under I-40 in order to install the containment system.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Dickerson Rd. from Trinity Lane to SR 155(Briley Pkwy.) and on US 431 from Dickerson Rd. to Whites Creek Pike

  • Thursday October 3 and Friday October 4, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Dickerson Rd. for adjusting catch basins and placing signal loops.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 near Donelson Pike

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9 (excluding Friday, Saturday, & Sunday), 9PM- 6AM, There will be a double right lane closure westbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) in order to install overhead sign structures.  Two lanes will remain open with the exception of a short duration rolling road block while swinging the structure’s truss.
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9 (excluding Friday, Saturday, & Sunday), 9PM- 6AM, There will be a single left lane closure eastbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) in order to install overhead sign structures.  Three lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9 (excluding Saturday, & Sunday), 9AM-3PM, There will be a right shoulder closure westbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) to perform clean up.  All lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Signal on Nolensville Rd. at the Intersection of Sunset Rd.

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. at Sunset Rd. in order to install signal poles and signal heads and bore under the roadway.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday October 3, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on the ramp from I-65 southbound to Moore’s Lane in Williamson County in order to repair the concrete joint.
  • Monday October 7 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 in Williamson County from MM 31 to MM 39 (near I-65 interchange) in order to repair bridge ends.

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 99 from I-65 to SR 106

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 99 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.
  • Saturday October 5 and Sunday October 6, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 99 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 243 from West of Redwood Circle to SR 50

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR243 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.
  • Saturday October 5 and Sunday October 6, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 243 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday October 3 through Tuesday October 8, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on both I-24 eastbound and westbound (approximately between Mile Marker 57 and Mile Marker 86) and SR 840 (approximately between Mile Marker 48 and Mile Marker 57) for road boring and conduit installation.
  • Thursday October 3 through Tuesday October 8, 9PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on both I-24 eastbound and westbound (approximately between Mile Marker 57 and Mile Marker 86) and SR 840 (approximately between Mile Marker 48 and Mile Marker 57) for road boring and conduit installation.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24

  • Friday October 4, 8PM through Monday October 7, 5AM, There will be a total bridge closure on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24 near MM 69 for expansion joint repair work.
  • Monday October 7 through Wednesday October 9, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound near MM 69.0 in order to remove bracing on the bridge.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 10 (US 231) from SR 265 to south of Hartman Dr. and from the I-40 ramp to south of Gay St.

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM,(excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) south of I-40 in both directions for guardrail and paving operations.
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) north of I-40 in both directions for paving operations.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-2PM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound for blasting.  Police officers will be utilized.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Tuesday October 8 and Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on Cool Springs Blvd. at Mack Hatcher for storm drain installation. 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday October 3 through Wednesday October 9, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for Drain Cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday October 3, 8PM-5AM, The on-ramp to I-65 south from I-440 eastbound will be closed for milling and paving.  Traffic will be diverted to the shoulder lane. 
  • Tuesday October 8, 8PM-5AM, The right lane on I-65 southbound at the I-40 west/I-65 south split will be closed for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Tuesday October 8, 8PM-5AM, The left lane on I-65 southbound at the I-40 east/I-65 south split will be closed for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open. 

HUMPHREYS COUNTY

  • Thursday October 3, Friday October 4, Monday October 7 and Tuesday October 8, 6PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 149 for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.

TDOT Bridge Inspection:

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Tuesday October 8, 9AM-3PM, The right lane will be closed on I-24 westbound ramp to I-440 westbound at mile marker 52.4 for bridge inspection.  One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities:

Sunday October 6, 7AM-11AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 840 near LM 53.70 in Rutherford County in order for Middle TN Electric to remove lines from the right of way.
