TDOC To Host Family and Friends Forum

NASHVILLE – As part of its ongoing mission to operate safe and secure prisons and provide effective community supervision in order to enhance public safety, the Department of Correction will hold an open forum for family and friends of offenders.  The first of three forums will take place in West Tennessee this week with subsequent forums planned for East and Middle Tennessee later this year.

Family and friends of offenders currently incarcerated or on community supervision are invited to attend.  Department of Correction leadership will be available to meet and answer general questions about policies, procedures and daily operations.  Due to limited space, the event will be restricted to 250 attendees.

WHEN:      Friday, October 18, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

WHERE:   National Guard Armory, 1510 US Highway 70 Bypass                    (Dr. F.E. Wright Drive), Jackson, TN 38301
