WARTBURG – To commemorate the Department of Correction’s Victim Impact Awareness Week, the Morgan County Correctional Complex has raised thousands of dollars for a local advocacy group.  The Morgan County Court Appointed Special Advocates group received $6,262.75 from staff and inmates through a variety of fundraising events

Warden David Sexton presented the check to Morgan County Court Appointed Special Advocates representative Karen Griffith.  “I am extremely proud of the staff’s efforts to organize, donate, and conduct the fundraisers for this worthy cause.  I am also proud of the inmates who made donations.  This is an excellent way for the Department of Correction to help support victims of crimes,” Warden Sexton said.
