BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to U.S. 64 (SR-311):  SR-60 (Dalton Pike) is undergoing major reconstruction.  The existing two-lane highway is being widened to a five-lane highway with sidewalk, curb and gutter on either side.  All driveways and side streets along the 2.7 mile project are being lowered or raised to match the proposed SR-60 grade.  Delays are to be expected at the intersection of Dalton Pike and McGrady Drive/Treasury Drive as the contractor works to upgrade the intersection.  The contractor will continue to pour concrete for sidewalks, and driveways at various locations along the project.  Minor grading behind sidewalk as well as sod placement is underway.  Additionally, the contractor has opened traffic throughout the job with one lane in both directions.  There will be lane shifts as needed.  Traffic is slated to be on the final roadway alignment on a base course of pavement by the end of 2012.  Due to temperature constraints, final paving will not be placed until next spring.  Estimated project completion date is April 2013.  [Highways, Inc./WC/CNH310]
