KNOXVILLE - Commissioner Derrick D. Schofield has named Bob Henshaw District Director of the Department's Knoxville area probation and parole division.  Henshaw has served the State of Tennessee for 36 years and spent the last five years as District Director in Johnson City.  He will now oversee both districts which include 24 East Tennessee counties.

"As part of the transfer of adult offender supervision to the Department of Correction, we believe a leaner leadership structure will allow us to put more direct supervision in the community and further ensure the safety of Tennesseans,"  Commissioner Schofield said.  "I have been impressed with the leadership provided by Director Henshaw and look forward to his continue service to the people of East Tennessee."  "I am honored by this appointment and proud to work with a great organization that is committed to enhancing public safety," Henshaw said.

Director Henshaw is a Virginia native and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from East Tennessee State University.
