DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday September 6 and Monday September 10 Through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Saturday September 8 and Sunday September 9, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Saturday September 8, 6AM-9PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Monday September 10 through Wednesday September 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • Thursday September 6, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 southbound for bridge repairs.  One lane will remain open.
  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.
  • Thursday September 6 and Friday September 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures to install shoulder stone along the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekend) There will be alternating lane closures for casting adjustments and milling on US 70S

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Wednesday September 12, 8PM-2AM, The right lane of I-65 southbound will be closed at MM 58.9 for bridge repair.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday) there will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations and the removal of cable rail. One lane will remain open in each direction.

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM179.9)

  • Friday September 7, 8PM through Monday September 10, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations and bridge deck repair. (There will be no lane closures eastbound from 8AM on Sunday to 12 Noon due to Titans home game.)

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization will in place.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Monday September 10 through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound and southbound from MM 62.0 to Hwy. 96 will be closed for paving operations.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 10AM-11AM and 1PM-2PM, (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on SR 397 in order for the contractor to blast.
  • Thursday September 6 and Friday September 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Mack Hatcher Pkwy. from Cool Springs Blvd. to Franklin Rd. in order to set beams.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (US 31) from Saturn Plant Road to Williamson County Line

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 67PM-5:30AM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR6 in order to conduct paving operations.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Linwood Road over I-40

  • Sunday September 10 and Monday September 11, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 westbound for installation of a gas line across the new bridge.
  • Tuesday September 12 and Wednesday September 13, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound for installation of a gas line across the new bridge.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from US41 to county line

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR 171 from LM 2.20 through LM 8.77 in order to install guardrail.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, between 11AM and 1PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order for the contractor to blast.
  • From now through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 8PM-6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday, September 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties

I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties

I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson & Sumner Counties

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 14 mile marker to the 32 mile for chemical control of vegetation. This will be a moving operation.  

Davidson County 

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, 9AM-3PM, Highway 70 will be reduced to one lane between Old Hickory Blvd. and the Cheatham County line for ditch cleaning and trimming vegetation. Traffic will be controlled by the portable traffic light system in each direction.
  • Tuesday September 11, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) in both directions between Exit 14A (Gallatin Pike/Madison) and Exit 11 (Opry Mills Dr.) for milling and paving. Two lanes will remain open.

Houston County 

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Houston County at the following locations:
  • State Route 46 @ 2.0 to 3.0 Mile Marker, 5.5  to 6.5 Mile Marker, 7.0 to 8.0 Mile Marker
  • State Route 147 @ 4.0 to 5.0 Mile Marker
  • State Route 49 @ 15.0 to 16.0 Mile Marker
  • State Route 149 @ 0.06 Mile Marker, 0.65 Mile Marker, 0.83 Mile Marker             

Montgomery County

  • Thursday September 6 through Wednesday September 12, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Montgomery County at the following locations:
  • State Route 149 @ 1.53 mile marker

TDOT Bridge Inspections

Davidson County

  • Tuesday September 11, 8PM-4AM, The two middle lanes will be closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 205 (I-440), for bridge repair. The left lane and ramp will remain open.

Williamson County

  • Wednesday September 12, 8PM-2AM, The two right lanes will be closed on I-65 southbound at mile marker 58.9 (State Route 840) for bridge repair. One lane will remain open. 

TDOT Utilities

  • Sunday September 9, 6AM-8AM, on SR 6 on Ellington Parkway and Trinity Lane Interchange overpass in Davidson County. This request by Access Fiber Group adding one strand and fiber optic cable.
  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • From now through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures.
  • From now through Friday September 14,9AM-3PM, On SR-255 Harding Place starting at Timber Hill Drive to Danby Drive will be temporarily lane closures. This request by Nashville Electric Service for setting new poles for the Harding Road side walk improvements.
