                                        September 20th – 26th, 2012

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Saturday September 22, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hillsboro Rd. for partial depth concrete repair.
  • Thursday September 20, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating closures on Richardson Bridge for paving operations.
  • Thursday September 20 and Friday September 21, 9AM-3PM, and Saturday September 22 and Sunday September 23, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. for joint repairs.
  • Saturday September 22, 7AM-7PM, The Winford Ave. Bridge will be closed for epoxy overlay.
  • Sunday September 23, 7AM-7PM, The Foster Ave. Bridge will be closed for epoxy overlay.
  • Monday September 24 and Tuesday September 25, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Lyle Ave. Bridge for epoxy overlay.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday September 20 through Friday September 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Saturday September 22, 6AM-8PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 for painting operations.
  • Tuesday September 25 and Wednesday September 26, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 westbound for painting operations.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Thursday September 20, Friday September 21 and Monday September 24 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures for casting adjustments, milling and installation of loops on US 70S.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Lebanon Rd. over Browns Creek

  • Friday September 21 and Monday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed in each direction in order to remove the old bridge deck and beams.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of Two Bridges on SR 100

  • Thursday September 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 100 at LM 7.36 for structural steel repair on the bridge. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.
  • Saturday September 22, 7AM-7PM, and Monday September 24 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound and southbound at exit 37 for work on SR 50 Bridge.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound and southbound from MM 62.0 to Hwy. 96 will be closed for paving operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Monday September 24 through Wednesday September 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures at the intersection of SR 397 and SR 96 and Franklin Rd. in order to perform traffic control  work.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (US 31) from Saturn Plant Road to Williamson County Line

  • Wednesday September 26, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR6 in order to conduct paving operations.

 

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

 

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday) there will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations and the removal of cable rail. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Resurfacing Beginning East of SR 840 to East of SR 26

  • Sunday September 23, 6PM-5AM, and Monday September 24 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-5AM, Alternating lane closures on I-40 (Eastbound and Westbound) for corrective milling operations.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from US41 to county line

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR 171 from LM 2.20 through LM 8.77 in order to install guardrail.

 

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, between 11AM and 1PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order for the contractor to blast.
  • From now through Wednesday September 26, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 8PM-6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

 

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM 179.9)

  • Friday September 21, 8PM through Monday September 24, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for paving operations and bridge deck repair. (There will be no closures on I-40 eastbound on Saturday 11AM to 3PM and Sunday 8AM-12 Noon.)

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday, September 26, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:     
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

 

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson & Sumner Counties

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 14 mile marker to the 32 mile for chemical control of vegetation. This will be a moving operation.  

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, 8pm-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Broadway/West End Avenue from I-40 to I-440 for crack sealing. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday September 20, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures at the intersection of Donelson Pike and Murfreesboro Road for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
  • Tuesday September 25, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures at the intersection of Gallatin Road (State Route 31) and Conference Drive for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

 

Houston County

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts at the following locations:
  • State Route 46 @ 5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker
  • State Route 147 @ 4.0 to 5.0 Mile Marker

                 

Robertson County

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 65 (U.S. 431) in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 6.0 and mile marker 7.5 and on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) there will be alternating lane closures in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 21 and mile marker 22 also mile marker 23 and mile marker 24 in both directions. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 0 (Cheatham County and Dickson County line) and mile marker 1.0 also between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 249 in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 0 and mile marker 0.5. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County between mile marker 186 and mile marker 192 in order to patch potholes in the concrete bridge decks. One lane will remain open.

Montgomery County

  • Thursday September 20 through Wednesday September 26, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 2.0 and mile marker 3.0. One lane will remain open.

Humphreys County

  • Tuesday September 25 and Thursday September 27, 6pm-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40  eastbound between mile marker 143.0 and mile marker 149.0 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • From now through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures..
