DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating closures on Hillsboro Rd. in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Saturday August 11 and Sunday August 12, 7AM-6PM, There will be alternating closures on Hillsboro Rd. in order to work on expansion joints.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-24 over Main St. and Woodland St.

  • Thursday August 9, Friday August 10 and Monday August 13 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM–5AM, There will be alternating street closures on Main Street and Woodland Street, from South Fifth Street to Interstate Drive to remove overhang falsework.  Detours will be in place.
  • Thursday August 9 and Friday August 10, 9PM–5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound from MM 48.0 to MM 48.6 in order to install guardrail and to complete the median barrier.  Two lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for sandblasting operations.
  • Monday August 13 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • Sunday August 12 through Thursday August 16, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 as follows  in order to install falsework on the bridge:
  • Sunday and Monday- Two lanes closed I-65 southbound, 1 lane open
  • Tuesday-Inside lane of I-65 northbound & southbound closed, 2 lanes open each direction.
  • Wednesday and Thursday-Two lanes closed I-65 northbound, 1 lane open

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Old Hickory Blvd. from US 431 to US 31/W/41

  • Thursday August 9 through Saturday August 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd. from Whites Creek Pike to Dickerson Rd. in order to fog seal the shoulders and install rumble strips. Flaggers will be utilized.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Monday August 13 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

 
MIDDLE TENNESSEE, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 16, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on SR840 in both directions between MM 54 & 60 for structure and drain cleaning.
  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 16,  9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions between MM 75.8 to 76.0 for structure cleaning.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization will in place.
  • Monday August 13 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Moore’s Lane (SR 441) from SR6 to I-65

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 10PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Moore’s Lane in order to place pavement markings on the roadway.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to pave and set barrier rail.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Linwood Road over I-40

  • Thursday August 9 and Friday August 10, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to install metal decking over I-40.

Looking Ahead:

  • Sunday August 19, 6AM-8AM, There will be four rolling roadblocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order for Middle TN Electric to remove the old crossing and construct a new one.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM- 6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.
  • Wednesday August 15 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.

GILES COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Alabama State Line to US 64

·         Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between MM 0.0 and MM 14.0 in order to pave and install guardrail.  One lane will remain open.

  • Thursday, August 9 through Wednesday, August 15, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

 

Cheatham County 

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions in order to mill, pave, and stripe the roadway between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 249 in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 0 and mile marker 0.5.  One lane will remain open.  
  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County to move equipment between mile marker 189 and mile marker 191.44 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County between mile marker 186 and mile marker 192 in order to patch potholes in the concrete bridge decks.  One lane will remain open.   


Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner Counties

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in (Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties) and on I-65 from the 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in (Robertson and Sumner Counties) in order to spray Johnson grass and guardrails for vegetation control.  This will be a moving operation.  

 

Davidson County 

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.   
  • Thursday August 9, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Murfreesboro Road at the Donelson Pike intersection for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Tuesday August 14, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) eastbound between Exit 14A (Gallatin Pike/Madison) and Exit 11 (Opry Mills Dr.) for milling and paving.  Two lanes will remain open. 

Davidson County 

  • Tuesday August 14, 8PM-4AM, One lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound on the following bridges for bridge deck surveys.  One lane will remain open.

  • Wednesday August 15, 8PM-4AM, One lane will be closed on I-40 westbound on the following bridges for bridge deck surveys.  One lane will remain open.

Houston County 

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Houston County at the following locations:
  • State Route 46------2.0 Mile Marker to 3.0 Mile Marker

                                        5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker

                                        7.0 Mile Marker to 8.0 Mile Marker

Montgomery & Robertson Counties 

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Robertson and Montgomery Counties to move equipment between mile marker 18 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open. 

Robertson County 

  • Thursday August 9 through Wednesday August 15, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 65 (U.S. 431) in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 6.0 to mile marker 7.5.  One lane will remain open. 

 

Wilson County 

·         Sunday August 5, 2012, 5AM-8AM, There will be a rolling road block in both directions on I-40 between mile marker 229 (Beckwith Road) and mile marker 235 (State Route 840). ATT will be pulling new lines across the road in both directions. Utility permit approved.

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • Thursday August 2 through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures.
