CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on SR 12 over Sycamore Creek

  • Tuesday August 21, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes approximately 12 times during the day in order to unload concrete trucks for the bridge deck pour.  Traffic will be allowed to clear between trucks.  Flaggers will be utilized.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Saturday August 18 and Sunday August 19, 7AM-6PM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 in order to work on expansion joints.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-24 over Main St. and Woodland St.

  • Thursday August 16, and Monday August 20 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM–5AM, There will be alternating street closures on Main Street and Woodland Street, from South Fifth Street to Interstate Drive to work on overhang supports.  Detours will be in place.
  • Thursday August 16, 9PM-5AM, The right lane of I-24 eastbound will be closed from MM 48.0 to MM 48.6 for guardrail installation.  Two lanes will remain open.
  • Friday August 17, 8PM through Monday August 20, 5AM, There will be alternating street closures on Main St. and Woodland St., from South Fifth St. to Interstate DR., to form and pour overhang supports. Detours will be in place.
  • Tuesday August 21 and Wednesday August 22, 9PM–5AM, The right lane of I-24 westbound will be closed from MM 48.2 to MM 50.0 in order to pour concrete parapet.  Two lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for sandblasting operations.
  • Friday August 17 through Monday August 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for sandblasting operations.
  • Friday August 17 through Monday August 20, 8PM-6AM, The inside and outside lane of I-24 westbound will be closed for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • Thursday August 16, 9PM-5AM, The two outside lanes of I-65 northbound will be closed in order to install falsework on the 3rd Ave. Bridge.  One lane will remain open.
  • Monday August 20, beginning at 8AM, The contractor will begin setting barrier rail on the 3rd Ave. Bridge which will reduce the bridge to one lane until April 2013.
  • Wednesday August 22, 9PM-5AM, The outside lane of I-65 northbound will be closed in order to saw cut and lift the deck on the 3rd Ave. Bridge.  Two lanes will remain open.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Old Hickory Blvd. from US 431 to US 31/W/41

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd. from Whites Creek Pike to Dickerson Rd. in order to fog seal the shoulders, install guardrail, and install permanent pavement markings. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM179.9)

  • Friday August 17, 8PM through Monday August 20, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations.  

MIDDLE TENNESSEE, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on SR840 in both directions between MM 54 & 60 for structure and drain cleaning.
  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22,  9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions between MM 75.8 to 76.0 for structure cleaning.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization will in place.
  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.
  • Saturday August 18 and Sunday August 19, 7AM-8PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY Longitudinal Joint Stabilization

  • Monday August 20 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96 in Rutherford County from LM 6.08 to LM 9.13 (Veterans Pkwy. to Cason Lane)  in order to seal joints.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Tuesday August 21 through Thursday August 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 102 in Rutherford County from LM 7.70 to LM 13.10 (I-24 to SR 266) in order to seal joints.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Monday August 20 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound for paving operations.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 1PM-2PM, There will be lane closures on SR 397 in order for the contractor to blast.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (US 31) from Saturn Plant Road to Williamson County Line

  • Sunday August 19 through Wednesday August 22, 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR6 in order to conduct paving operations.

VARIOUS COUNTIES, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on SR840 in both directions between MM 54 & 60 for structure and drain cleaning.
  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22,  9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions between MM 75.8 to 76.0 for structure cleaning.

 
DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday August 16, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to set barrier rail and shift traffic.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Linwood Road over I-40

  • Sunday August 19, 6AM-8AM, There will be four rolling roadblocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order for Middle TN Electric to remove the old crossing and construct a new one.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM- 6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

GILES COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Alabama State Line to US 64

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between MM 0.0 and MM 14.0 in order to pave and install guardrail.  One lane will remain open.

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

Cheatham County 

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County to move equipment between mile marker 189 and mile marker 191.44 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, (excluding weekends), 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County between mile marker 186 and mile marker 192 in order to patch potholes in the concrete bridge decks.  One lane will remain open.  

 

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner Counties

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in (Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties) and on I-65 from the 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in (Robertson and Sumner Counties) in order to spray Johnson grass and guardrails for vegetation control.  This will be a moving operation.  

 
 

Davidson County 

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.   
  • Thursday August 16, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Murfreesboro Road at the Donelson Pike intersection for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Tuesday August 21, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) eastbound between Exit 14A (Gallatin Pike/Madison) and Exit 11 (Opry Mills Dr.) for milling and paving.  Two lanes will remain open. 

Houston County 

Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Houston County at the following locations:

 

  • State Route 46------2.0 Mile Marker to 3.0 Mile Marker

                                        5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker

                                        7.0 Mile Marker to 8.0 Mile Marker

 
Montgomery County

  • Thursday August 16 through Wednesday August 22, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Montgomery County to move equipment between mile marker 17 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open. 

Wilson County 

·        Friday August 17 and Saturday August 18, 8PM-2AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 westbound between Mile Marker 239.0 and Mile Marker 239.6 for the Wilson County Fair.  One lane will remain open.   

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • From now through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures.
