NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be serving as a co-partner in the Second Annual Bass Pro Shops Land & Wildlife Exp to be held Aug. 9-11 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

The TWRA, along with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NCRS), are among the sponsors. The expo is designed for persons interested in managing their land for wildlife.

TWRA and NRCS will have wildlife biologists placed at various areas to provide assistance on managing a particular piece of property and to answer questions concerning habitat areas. The 105-acre Outdoor Village exhibit area at the complex will include archery, clay target shooting, ATV demonstrations, truck demonstrations, treestand demonstrations, and a habitat demonstration area featuring different food plot trials for viewing.

Inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel’s convention hall, there will be a wide range of vendors showcasing their products. There will also be opportunities to meet celebrity sportsmen. Seminars and workshops will feature some of the nation’s top experts in land conservation, wildlife management and hunting strategies.
During the expo, the first winner from the drawing of the young sportsman elk hunt will be announced. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission established a youth elk hunt to follow the conclusion of the regular elk hunt this fall.

In addition, the TWRA will be hosting a Big Buck Contest. Those interested in entering can drop their mounts off beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday until the end of the day and again on Saturday until 1 p.m. The winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Saturday.
