Lane Closure on SR 208 for Building Demolition

JACKSON, TENN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will close one lane of SR 208 (Cleveland Street) in Ripley next week in order to demolish a building. The demolition is being done in preparation for the future widening of SR 208. The lane closures are as follows:

 
  • Tuesday July 24 through Thursday July 26, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (EACH DAY) – There will be one lane closed on SR 208 from North Lake Drive to Cleveland Street. One lane will remain open. Flaggers will be used to move traffic through the lane closure.
 
 
A project to widen SR 208 from Washington Street (SR 209) to the SR 208/US 51 intersection is funded for construction during the current fiscal year. The project has been scheduled for a Fall 2012 bid letting.
