Nashville Clean Water Project to be Subject of TWRA’s Nature @ Noontime Program

NASHVILLE --- The Nashville Clean Water Project will be the subject for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s June Nature @ Noontime program. The program will be held from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, June 7.

Mark Thein, president of Envolve Strategies, Inc., a sustainability consultancy in Nashville, will be the guest speaker. Since 2008, the Nashville Clean Water Project has worked to relieve Middle Tennessee waterways from trash and debris. The part-time community initiative has worked to be an inspiration in the community with in its campaign against trash at Percy Priest Lake, eco-recovery projects on Mill Creek and the Stones River and continuing education about the impact human behaviors have on local water throughout the area.

Thein directs national marketing, media and new media programs for sustainable, environmental and otherwise green-focused clients. Envolve Strategies has been named twice among Middle Tennessee’s 50 Greenest Companies.

Hosted by the Information and Education Division, Nature @ Noontime is held the first Thursday of each month, except July. TWRA Nature @ Noontime presentations are about natural resource related topics and last about 30-45 minutes, allowing time for discussion during the allotted lunch hour.
