U.S. Senator Bob Corker to Partner with TDVA for Rally Point in Jackson
NASHVILLE – U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., will partner with the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs and several Veteran Service Organizations for Rally Point, which is a Veterans outreach event. The West Tennessee event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run through 2:00 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, June 5 in the Jackson State Community College Gymnasium at 2046 North Parkway, Jackson. All active duty military personnel, Veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
Representatives from TDVA, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center of Memphis, VA Jackson Outpatient Clinic, Humana Military Healthcare Services, U.S. Department of Labor, Tennessee National Guard Family Assistance, Tennessee Career Center at Jackson, Jackson State and other educational institutions, as well as several Veteran Service Organizations. Representatives from area universities and Veterans Service Organizations and will be available to answer questions, provide information and assist with enrollment opportunities for Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries. The workshop will focus on the claims process for federal benefits, educational opportunities, employment options, financial planning and transitional resources.
Veterans will need to present a copy of their DD-214 and any other service related documents to assist with filing VA claims.
