YATES SERVICES TO HOLD JOB FAIR AT MURFREESBORO CAREER CENTER

1,000 Positions Available for Nissan Plants in Smyrna

NASHVILLE – Yates Services is hosting a job fair for Nissan’s Vehicle Assembly and Electric Vehicle Battery Plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. The fair will be on Saturday, June 2, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the Murfreesboro Career Center on 1313 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro. The company is recruiting to fill long-term, full-time positions.

Yates Services is hiring for off shift positions, including nights, afternoons, weekends, and rotating shifts for the following jobs:
• Assembly/Production—$15.25 progressing to $19.25 off shift
• Material Handling—forklift experience required $13.25 progressing to $15.75 off shift
• Industrial Maintenance—graduate and have a diploma through an Industrial Maintenance course. Off shift starting pay rate $19.75 progressing to $28.25
• Tool and Die Maker—experience required (welding, CNC, hand grinding)
• Warehouse/Production Support—Off shift starting pay rate $12.00 progressing to $13.25

The jobs will start out at a minimum of $13.25 per hour (off shift) but will increase to $15.25 per hour (off shift) beginning July 23, 2012. Benefits include 14 paid holidays, one week of paid vacation after six months of service and educational assistance after two years of continuous service as a Main Line Production/Maintenance Associate. A comprehensive benefits package is offered that includes Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans, dental, vision, life insurance, and AD&D after 90 days. In addition, 401(k) plan participation is available after the first full year of service.

To qualify for positions applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Qualified applicants must have a verifiable stable work history and/or verifiable high school attendance record. Any manufacturing experience is a plus. Nissan is a drug-free workplace. In addition, Yates Services conducts thorough background checks on all applicants.
