Treasury Drive and McGrady Drive to be Temporarily Closed to Traffic in Cleveland, Bradley County

Closure Part of SR-60 (Dalton Pike) Widening Project Currently Underway

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – TDOT contract crews will temporarily close Treasury Drive and McGrady Drive in Cleveland, Tenn. to all traffic from 8:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, June 2, 2012 to 9:00 a.m. EDT on Sunday, June 3, 2012. The road closure is necessary as part of the SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening project currently underway and will allow the contractor to completely excavate and pave the intersection to the final grade as shown in the construction plans.

SR-60 will remain open during this period, and posted truck detour routes will remain in place.  Detour signs and message boards will be provided to direct motorists to access the Walmart shopping center using Buchanan Road from SR-60.  Traffic traveling from U.S. 64 (U.S. 74/APD-40) to SR-60 will be directed to use Baldwin Road.

As always, drivers are reminded to use all motorist information tools wisely and Know Before You Go!by checking travel conditions before leaving for their destination.  Drivers should never tweet, text or talk on a cell phone while behind the wheel.
