Jackson, Tenn. – TheTennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will close SR 220 at log mile 10.9 in Carroll County beginning at 9:00 a.m. April 23, 2012 to perform repairs to a culvert. The roadway will reopen April 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

During the closure, TDOT crews will replace the culvert, which clogs and creates flooding during heavy rains, with a larger drainage structure to handle large amounts of water.

Motorists are asked to plan ahead and seek alternate routes around the closure. Portable message boards will be placed on each end of the project to assist motorists.
