NASHVILLE --- A new video explaining the restrictions for umbrella rigs used in fishing is now available on the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s website by clicking here.

TWRA Fisheries Division Chief Bobby Wilson explains what is permitted and prohibited for use in Tennessee in the video presentation which is about 2:45 in length. Umbrella rigs are defined as an array of more than three artificial lures or baits (with or without hooks) used by a single rod and reel combination. If the hook size is 6 or larger, then only one lure or bait may have a hook and that hook must be a single hook.
