DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Saturday December 8, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 to install fence.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Friday December 7, 9PM-5AM, I-65 northbound will be closed to one lane starting ¼ mile south of Trinity Lane to Dickerson Road. Traffic will be allowed to go either I-24 west (one lane open) or I-65 north (one lane open). This closure will be necessary while the roadway is restriped and traffic is shifted.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd. to perform shoulder work. There will be no more than one lane closed at any time.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Guardrail on I-440 LM 2.9 & LM 3.73

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closure from LM 2.9 to LM 3.24 Eastbound and 3.24 to LM 3.73 Westbound for the installation of powder coated guardrail.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 Southbound from MM 62.5 to MM 68.0 for milling and paving operations. At least one lane will remain open.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 westbound at MM 65 for bridge repair.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures to patch potholes on as needed basis on I-24 in Rutherford and Bedford Co., I-65 in Williamson Co. and SR 840 in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson Counties.
  • Thursday December 6, 8PM-Midnight, The inside lane of I-24 EB and WB @ MM 67 will be closed in order to repair a sign on the median wall.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.
  • Thursday December 6, 8PM-6AM, There will alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound for bridge work overhead on SR 50.
  • Saturday December 8, 6AM-6PM, and Monday December 10 through Wednesday December 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-65, Exit 37, in the northbound and southbound lanes as necessary for construction on SR 50 Bridge.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for median sign footing construction. One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, SIA Serving Kenwal Steel

  • From now through Friday December 7, Outside lane closure on SR 109 (southbound) beginning at Quarry Loop Road and extending to Business Park Road for removal of existing shoulder and guardrail and the installation of the new turn lane onto the Kenwal Steel SIA road.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 11AM & 1PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order for the contractor to blast.

WILSON & DICKSON COUNTIES, TDOT Smartway ITS I-40/SR 840

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound at MM 170.6 and MM 176.5 westbound (Dickson Co.) and on I-40 westbound at MM 240.8 and MM 234.9 eastbound (Wilson County) in order to install guardrail. One lane will remain open.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Davidson County

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing. One lane will remain open.

Robertson County

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in both directions between mile markers 21,22,23 and 24 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 76 in both directions between MM 2.5 and MM 3.5 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions between mile marker 0 (Cheatham County and Dickson County line) and mile marker 1.0 also between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 249 in both directions between mile marker 0 and mile marker 0.5 in order to pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

Montgomery County

  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in both directions between mile marker 2.0 and mile marker 3.0 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 6 through Wednesday December 12, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 12 in both directions between mile marker 10.9 and mile marker 12.2 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Bridge Inspection

Cheatham County

  • Monday December 10 through Wednesday December 12, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 eastbound in Cheatham County between MM189.5 and MM 191.5 in order to perform an emergency pothole patch in the concrete bridge deck. One lane will remain open.

Davidson County

  • Thursday December 6 and Tuesday December 11, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 westbound between MM 3.0 and MM 4.0 for bridge repair. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • Thursday December 6 and Sunday December 9, 9PM-5AM, On I-40/I-65 split underneath the Jefferson Street overpass bridge. This request by Piedmont Gas Co. to clean, prime, prep and rewrap 220’ of 6” main with traffic control and police cars.
  • Sunday December 9 through Thursday December 20, 7PM-6AM, on SR 24 Charlotte Pike / 850’ West of Whites Creek Rd. in Davidson County. This request by Piedmont Gas to repair a corroded gas main in the inbound outside lane.

TDOT Materials & Tests / Pavement Coring

  • From now through Friday December 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 155 from East of Mashburn Rd (LM 2.5) to Glastonbury Rd. (LM 5.8) while cores are taken from the roadway. One lane will remain open at all times.
  • From now through Friday December 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 840 on the ramps west of Carter’s Creek Pike. One lane will remain open at all times.
  • From now through Friday December 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 20 from East of Jackson Cemetery Rd. (LM 19.0) to Lewis County line (LM 24.9) in Perry County. One lane will remain open at all times.
  • From now through Friday December 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 6 from Saturn Plant Rd. (LM 30.0) to Williamson County line (LM 33.3) in Maury County. One lane will remain open at all times.
