DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 in order to power wash the river piers and apply texture coating.
  • Look Ahead: Friday January 4, 8PM to Monday January 7, 5AM, I-40 WB will be closed at the I-40WB/I-24EB Split in order to repair a beam damaged by an oversize load.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd. to perform shoulder work (outside and inside shoulders). There will be no more than one lane closed at any time.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of Bridge on SR 100 over Pritchett Creek

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, there will be alternating lane closures on SR 100 for bridge joint work and texture coating.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 Southbound from MM 62.5 to MM 68.0 in order to install permanent pavement markings.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures to patch potholes on as needed basis on I-24 in Rutherford and Bedford Co., I-65 in Williamson Co. and SR 840 in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson Counties.
  • Thursday December 20 through Friday December 21, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures to repair guardrail on an as needed basis on I-24 in Rutherford and Bedford Col., I-65 in Williamson Co., and SR 840 in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson Counties.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday December 20, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for removal of impact attenuators. One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON & DICKSON COUNTIES, TDOT Smartway ITS I-40/SR 840

  • Thursday December 20, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound at MM 170.6 in order to install guardrail.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Davidson County

  • Thursday December 20, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM and Friday, December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be various shoulder closures for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday December 20, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing. One lane will remain open.

Robertson County

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in both directions between mile markers 21, 22, 23 and 24 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County

  • Thursday December 20 and Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions between mile marker 0 (Cheatham County and Dickson County line) and mile marker 1.0 also between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • Thursday December 20, 7PM-6AM, on SR 24 Charlotte Pike / 850’ West of Whites Creek Rd. in Davidson County. This request by Piedmont Gas to repair a corroded gas main in the inbound outside lane.
  • From now through Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, On SR 65 Whites creek Pike 3333’ north of Bear Hollow Road in Davidson County. This request by Piedmont Gas to open-cut across roadway to replace a 10” main.

TDOT Traffic

City of Franklin

  • Thursday, December 20, 9AM-3PM, Traffic signal installation at US 431 and SR 248. Contractor to temporarily close the outside turn lanes of this intersection to install mast arm signal. Only (1) lane will be shut down at a time. Contractor will provide arrow board and appropriate traffic control devices during temporary lane closure.

Local Programs

  • Thursday December 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 386 (Vietnam Veteran’s Pkwy) eastbound and westbound in order to set bridge beams at the Indian Lake Bridge.
