DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on West End Ave. over I-440 in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. for joint repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions for fence installation.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Friday October 5, 8PM through Monday October 8, 5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Friday October 5, 8PM through Monday October 8, 5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 for painting operations.
  • Friday October 5, 8PM through Monday October 8, 5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Thursday October 4 through Sunday October 7, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 eastbound in order to set bridge beams over the railroad.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures for paving and installation of loops on US 70S.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 45 (OHB) from US 431 (SR 65) to US 31W/41 (SR 11)

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd. in order to install guardrail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions from MM 64-78 in order to repair shoulder washouts.
  • Monday October 8, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound at MM 70.6 to repair guardrail.

DAVIDSON &SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on US 41 (Dickerson Pike) over Mansker Creek

  • Thursday October 4 and Monday October 8, 7PM-4AM, There will be one lane closed on Dickerson Pike southbound in order to set bridge beams.
  • Saturday October 6, 11AM-10PM, There will be one lane closed on Dickerson Pike southbound in order to set bridge beams.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound and southbound at exit 37 for work on the SR 50 Bridge.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Monday October 8 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound and southbound from MM 62.0 to Hwy. 96 will be closed for paving operations.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures at the intersection of SR 397 and SR 96 and Franklin Rd. in order to perform traffic control work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 431 (Hillsboro Rd.) from North of Fulton Greer Lane to Beech Creek Bridge

  • Monday October 8 through Wednesday October 10, 9PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hillsboro Rd. in order to install signs, adjust castings, mill the roadway and install loop wire.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to mill the roadway and excavate for footings. One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from US 41 to the County Line

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR 171 from LM 2.20 through LM 8.77 in order to install guardrail.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • From now through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload and set concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8PM-6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM 179.9)

  • Saturday October 6, 8AM through Sunday October 7, 8PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound to install permanent striping and rumble strips.

TDOT Maintenance:

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM,  There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties

I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties

                I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Cheatham, Montgomery & Robertson Counties

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 14 mile marker to the 32 mile for chemical control of vegetation. This will be a moving operation.  

Davidson County

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, 8pm-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Broadway/West End Avenue from I-40 to I-440 for crack sealing. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday October 4, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures at the intersection of 31 E (Gallatin Road) and Conference Drive for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

Houston County

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends),9AM-3PM, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts at the following locations:
  • State Route 46 @ 5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker
  • State Route 147 @ 4.0 to 5.0 Mile Marker               

Robertson County

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 65 (U.S. 431) in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 6.0 and mile marker 7.5 and on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) there will be alternating lane closures in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 21 and mile marker 22 also mile marker 23 and mile marker 24 in both directions. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 0 (Cheatham County and Dickson County line) and mile marker 1.0 also between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 249 in both directions in order to pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 0 and mile marker 0.5. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 186 and mile marker 192 in order to patch potholes in the concrete bridge decks. One lane will remain open.

Williamson County

  • Tuesday October 9, 8AM-12Noon, The road will be closed to local traffic only on State Route 45 (Pinewood Road) at mile marker 23.5 for culvert replacement. Detours as follows: Traffic will be detoured off of State Route 46 (Pinewood Road) onto State Route 840 and traffic will be detoured off State Route 100 onto State Route 840.
  • Tuesday October 9, 8pm-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures at the intersection of State Route 6 (Columbia Pike) southbound at State Route 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

Montgomery County

  • Thursday October 4 through Wednesday October 10, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway between mile marker 2.0 and mile marker 3.0. One lane will remain open.

Humphreys County

  • Thursday October 4, 6PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40  eastbound between mile marker 143.0 and mile marker 149.0 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday October 25, 7PM-6AM, On SR 258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Sumner County. This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx.. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closure signs and detours will be setup.
  • Sunday October 7, 6AM-3PM, On I-65 just south of Ewing Drive in Davidson County. This request by Nashville Electric Service will be pulling out the old wire from the new conductors crossing on 9-30-12. Four rolling stop blocks are expected and eight police cars.
  • Sunday October 7 through Thursday October 11, 7PM-6AM, On SR-155  White Bridge Road 385’ south of Charlotte Pike in Davidson Co. This request by Piedmont Gas to repair a corroded gas main in the first lane of traffic on the west side.

TDOT Traffic

Rutherford County

  • Wednesday October 3, 9AM-3PM, The eastbound and westbound lanes of SR 269 will be closed for repair of the CSX Railroad crossing at LM 13.766. The rails are warped and will require full closure for approximately 6 hours.

City of Columbia

  • From now through Friday October 5, the eastbound and westbound lanes of SR 50 in Maury County will be closed for repair of the Tennessee Southern Railroad crossing at LM 17.64. The precast concrete panel and rails will be removed and replaced. Detours are in place.
