Metal Galvanizing Company to Invest $2.3 Million, Create 35 Jobs in Marion County

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development today announced Tennessee Galvanizing’s decision to expand its Jasper, Tenn. facility, located at 1535 Industrial Blvd.  The expansion represents an investment of $2.3 million and the creation of 35 manufacturing jobs.

“It’s always great to hear Tennessee businesses choosing to expand and grow right where they are, especially when it benefits our rural communities,” Allen Borden, ECD assistant commissioner of statewide operations, said.  “Congratulations to Tennessee Galvanizing on its continued success in Jasper, and we thank them for the additional jobs they will create in Marion County.”

Tennessee Galvanizing provides metal galvanizing, a process of coating a metal, usually iron or steel, with a protective covering of zinc.  The company has been in business for 20 years and will be expanding its current 23-acre location in order to handle a new centrifuge process and additional warehouse space.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marion County, the City of Jasper and state officials for their help in making this expansion happen,” David S. Ware, Sr., president and CEO, Tennessee Galvanizing, said.  “We look forward to continually growing in Tennessee.”

“We are thrilled with Tennessee Galvanizing’s decision to expand and create additional jobs for our community,” Marion County Mayor John Graham said.  “I would like to thank ECD for their help in making this project a reality.”

“Tennessee Galvanizing has been a part of the Jasper business community for 20 years now, and I am delighted with their decision to continue to grow and expand in our community,” Jasper Mayor Billy Simpson said.
