Tennessee 25X’25 Renewable Energy Forum to Meet July 21

NASHVILLE – Agriculture, industry and government leaders and clean energy advocates will gather this Thursday, July 21 in Knoxville to examine the economic impacts associated with the use of energy crops, agricultural and forestry residues and other clean, renewable technologies in the state. 
 
State Agriculture Commissioner Julius Johnson will provide an overview of Tennessee agriculture’s role in renewable energy. Other featured speakers include Dr. Stuart Thomas, Vice President of Technology and Licensing, DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol; Dr. Steven Bares, Memphis Bioworks Foundation; and John Myers, who will describe TVA’s energy efficiency and renewable energy goals. The meeting is open to media.
