I-24
 
REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday May 5 through Tuesday May 10, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Robertson, Cheatham, Sumner, Montgomery, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys, Wilson, and Rutherford Counties for guardrail and attenuator repair.

REGION 3, On-Call Cable Barrier Repair:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate and state routes in order to repair cable barrier rail.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from KY State Line to SR 76:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3:30PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be traffic shifts on the ramps at exits 1, 4, 8, and 11 in order to repair concrete. Ramps will remain open.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 westbound in Montgomery County between mile marker 8 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open. Exit 11 is S.R. 76 Adams and Clarksville Exit, and Exit 8 is S.R. 237 Rossview Road Exit.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 in both directions in Robertson County between mile marker 25 and mile marker 18 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open. This is between exit 24 (Springfield and Ashland City) and Exit 19 (Adams).
 
DAVIDSON and ROBERTSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install fiber, cleanup, and install conduit.   
    • I-24, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and one mile north of Old Hickory Blvd (MM 43 to MM 39)
    • I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Waldron Rd (MM 62 to MM 64)
  • Thursday May 5 through Sunday May 8, 8PM-5AM, I-24 Eastbound at MM 39.6, north of Old Hickory Blvd, one right lane closed for foundation installation, one lane to remain open (extra days in case of weather).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS System:Saturday May 7, 6AM-10AM, Close right lane of I-65SB at I-24EB junction MM 86.4 for the purpose of replacing camera and lowering device of ITS System. One lane of two lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad:Thursday May 5through Wednesday May 11: No closures scheduled.  

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes and for ditch cleaning.
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control and shoulder work. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes. 
  • Saturday May 7, 7AM-5PM, The right lane will be closed on I-24 eastbound between Haywood Lane and Bell Road for vegetation control. Three lanes will remain open.

MARION COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing from Cave Cove Creek (MM 140.6) to Big Fiery Gizzard Creek (MM 145.75): The contractor will have one lane closed in each direction at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform milling and paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is June 2012. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair: The contractor has begun a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga. The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs. Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays. However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning. It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane.
  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES
    • Thursday, May 5, 2011, eastbound (LM 10.9/MM 181.9) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) to shift traffic and place barrier rail in preparation for removal and replacement of a 500 ft section of failed concrete pavement. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
    • Friday, May 6, 2011 at 7PM through Monday, May 9 at 6AM eastbound (LM 10.9/MM 181.9). The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for the removal and replacement of 500 ft. of failed concrete pavement. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained except for between the hours of 10PM-5AM in which only one lane will be available. It is anticipated that all of this repair can be completed in one weekend. However, if this is not possible then the remaining repairs will be completed the next available weekend (May 13-16). THP will assist with traffic control.
    • Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11, 2011 eastbound and westbound from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for bridge deck repairs. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East near Mile Marker 1.7:On Monday night, May 9, 2011 through Wednesday night, May 11, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CARTER COUNTY, I-26 East near Mile Marker 26.6:On Monday night, May 9, 2011 through Wednesday night, May 11, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 between Mile Markers 36 and 40: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours and use caution through this resurfacing project.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday May 4 through Wednesday May 11, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: There will be temporary lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

SHELBY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from Vollentine Avenue to the Jackson Avenue Bridge:Sunday May 8 through Wednesday May 11, 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Each night there will be lanes closed westbound for milling the I-40 bridge over state route 14/Jackson Avenue to the bridge over Hollywood Drive. Two lanes will be closed at a time with one lane remaining open. Ramps could be closed periodically.

SHELBY COUNTY, On-Call Guardrail:Wednesday May 4 through Wednesday May 11 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guard rail:
·         I-40, Shelby County eastbound (MM 3.5 to MM 3.0), two lanes to remain open.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge Rehabilitation over US64/Summer Avenue:Friday May 6, 8:00 p.m. through Monday May 9, 6:00 a.m.: There will be lanes closed westbound for milling and paving of the I-40 Bridge over US64/Summer Avenue. There will be 2 lanes closed at a time. All lanes on Summer Avenue will be open.

FAYETTE COUNTY. I-40 First Response:Thursday May 5, 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.: There will be one lane closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 30 for the clean-up of a diesel fuel release.

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating laneclosures on I-40 eastbound and westbound from MM 148-182 in order to mill, pave and perform guardrail work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Williamson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes and for ditch cleaning.

REGION 3, On-Call Striping:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-11AM, There will be rolling lane closures at the following locations in order to test striping:
  • I-40 MM 250.0-MM 259.0 Smith County

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning SR385 to north of Walnut Grove Road:Sunday, May 8 through Thursday, May 12, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: Each night there will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound from mile marker 16.0 to mile marker 13.0 to begin milling. Two eastbound lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, On-Call Guardrail:Wednesday May 4 through Wednesday May 11 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guard rail:
  • I-240, Shelby County northbound & southbound (MM 26.5 to MM 25.0), two lanes to remain open.

  • I-55, Shelby County northbound & southbound (MM 3.0 to MM 6.0), two lanes to remain open.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.
  • Wednesday May 4 through Wednesday May 11, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:  there will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate between bridge 1 and 2. One southbound lane will remain open.
  • Thursday May 5, 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.:  Contractor will be switching traffic (southbound traffic onto northbound, Phase I). Weather permitting. Exit 8 will be shut and detoured to Exit 9.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:Wednesday May 4 through Wednesday May 11, 7:00 a.m. -7:00 a.m.: There will be one northbound and one southbound lane closed. Resurfacing and bridge repair should alert motorist for lanes closures.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between SR 96 and MM 62.5 in order to perform some maintenance work and install barrier rail. One lane will remain open.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Williamson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday May 5 and Tuesday May 10, and Wednesday May 11, 7PM-3AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-65 northbound between Saturn Parkway and Peytonsville Road for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.   

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes and for ditch cleaning.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood):Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on the ramp from I-65 southbound to Old Hickory Blvd. at Hillview Dr. in order to mill and pave.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.)
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform drainage crossing and pour bridge deck.
  • Saturday May 7, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform signal work at Dominican Dr.
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to perform bridge work.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS System:Saturday May 7, 6AM-10AM, Close right lane of I-65SB at I-24EB junction MM 86.4 for the purpose of replacing camera and lowering device of ITS System. One lane of two lanes will remain open.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.
 
 
I-75
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.:The contractor is performing grading operations and constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is January 2012. 
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-75 South approaching Callahan Drive (Exit 110): Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday night, May 6, 2011 through 6 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, motorists should be alert for a right lane closure in this area as crews perform overhead bridge repairs. Callahan Drive over I-75 will be reduced from two lanes to one during this time. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 112.5 and 117.5:Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 23 and 30:Beginning Sunday night, May 1, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 36 and 44: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 50 and 54: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.
