Lane Closures on Interstate 240 in Shelby County

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Motorists traveling through Shelby County are beginning to see construction activity and lane closures on Interstate 240 as the widening project between State Route 385 and North of Walnut Grove is getting underway.
 
Sunday, April 17 through Thursday, April 21 each night from 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m., construction crews will have one lane closed on I-240 East in order to continue milling and paving operations. 
 
Future lane closures for this project will also be conducted during the night time hours and weekends.

Motorists are reminded to use all motorist information tools responsibly. Drivers should refrain from texting, tweeting or using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle. TDOT advises drivers to “Know before you go!” by checking traffic conditions before leaving for their destination.
