Interstate Construction Report for December 22 - 28, 2011

There will be no temporary lane closures from noon on Friday, DECEMBER 23, 2011 through 6AM on MONDAY, JANUARY 2, 2012 in observance of THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS HOLIDAY PERIOD.

I-24

MONTGOMERY & ROBERTSON COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Robertson and Montgomery County to move equipment between mile marker 25 and mile marker 12 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open. This is between exit 24 (Springfield and Ashland City) and exit 11 (Adams and Clarksville).

MONTGOMERY, ROBERTSON, & CHEATHAM COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-24 in both direction in Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties between mile marker 10 (Exit 11 Adams, Clarksville) and mile marker 32 (Cheatham and Davidson County line), in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair: The contractor has completed all contract items. The contractor may need either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) to address punchlist items. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2011.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East and West near Mile Marker 6 (Welcome Center): Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures, workers present and use caution in this area.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday December 21 through Wednesday December 28, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

TDOT REGION 4 On-Call Guardrail: Wednesday December 21 through Wednesday December 28, 8:00 PM-6:00 AM: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail.

· I-40, Shelby County westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 6.0), two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, ON-Call Concrete Pavement Repair, I-40: Wednesday December 21, 8PM-6AM: There will be temporary lane closures eastbound & westbound (MM 2.4 to MM 5.0), for full depth sawing and sealing. One lane will remain open.

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 in both direction in Humphreys County between mile marker 134 and mile marker 148 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

HICKMAN COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 in both direction in Hickman County between mile marker 148 and mile marker 163 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

DICKSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 in both direction in Dickson County between mile marker 182 and mile marker 163 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

CHEATHAM COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 in both direction in Cheatham County between mile marker 184.4 (Cheatham and Williamson County line) and mile marker 191.5 (Cheatham and Davidson County line) in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Markers 340 and 342: Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures through this slope stabilization project. Motorists should reduce speed and use extreme caution through this area.

I-140

KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East near Northshore Drive (Exit 5): Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures in this area. Motorists should use caution through this area.

I-240

· I-240, Shelby County southbound (MM 30.0 to MM 31.5), two lanes will remain open. There will also be a temporary ramp closure from SR-14 WB and Madison Avenue.

I-440

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440: Thursday December 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-440 eastbound at Richardson Rd., Hillsboro Rd., Belmont Blvd., Winford Rd., Belmont Blvd., Woodlawn Ave, and Lyle Rd. for bridge work.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24: Thursday December 22 through December 28: No closures scheduled.

I-640

No construction activity to report at this time.

I-55

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.

Wednesday December 21 through Wednesday December 28, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There are no scheduled closures.

I-65

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday December 22 and Tuesday January 3 through Wednesday January 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-65 in both direction in Robertson County between mile marker 103.72 (Robertson and Sumner County line) and mile marker 121.47 (Tennessee and Kentucky State line) in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. One lane will remain open.

FUTURE I-69

OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR 5/SR 22 to 0.78 mile west of SR 21

Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City is now open.
NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

I-75

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 design-build project from Enterprise South interchange (Exit 9) to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.: The contractor is constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is January 2012.
