REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday January 6 through Tuesday January 11, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in Davidson, Wilson, Smith, and Rutherford Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

REGION 3, On-Call Cable Barrier Repair:Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in order to repair cable barrier rail.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 westbound in Montgomery County between mile marker 8 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 in both directions in Robertson County between mile marker 25 and mile marker 19 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.

DAVIDSON and RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.
  • I-24, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and north of Old Hickory Blvd (MM 43 to MM 39) and between Hickory Hollow Pkwy and Waldron Rd (MM 60 to MM 64)

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-24 over the Cumberland River:Saturday January 8, 6AM-6PM, The outside lane and shoulder of I-24 westbound will be closed in order to test equipment used to perform needed repairs.

HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is January 2011. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities and performing grading work. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River Various closures for existing six lane cross-section (arch spans and westward):
  • Wednesday January 5, midnight until 9:30 a.m.: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • Wednesday January 5, 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.: There will be two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane closed.
  • Wednesday January 5, 3:00 p.m. through Wednesday January 12: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • The requested 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. closure is for the repair of a pothole in the middle eastbound lane adjacent to the expansion joint at Pier A (west end of the arch spans.) The repair, using Set 45, will probably be completed in about 3 hours. The outside eastbound lane closures will be utilized for the installation of an inspection platform beneath the superstructure at Pier A.

SHELBY COUNTY, On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair:Wednesday January 5 through Thursday January 13, 8:00 p.m,.-6:00 a.m.: Repairs will be made onI-40 in Shelby County, east and west bound between Exit 2/Chelsea Avenue and Exit 5/Hollywood Drive. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Sinkhole Repair on I-40 at Old Hickory Boulevard (Exit 221A):Thursday January 7 and Friday January 8, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating one lane closures on the ramp in order grind, saw, and seal the joints.

REGION 3, On-Call Concrete Repair:Thursday January 6 through Wednesday January 12, 8AM-4PM, The ramp at exit 258 (Carthage/Gordonsville) on I-40 eastbound will be shifted to one side in order to replace deteriorated concrete. The ramp will remain open.

COCKE COUNTY, I-40 West at Mile Marker 431:On Friday night, January 7, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs. Motorists should expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

BLOUNT COUNTY, I-140 East at Mile Marker 10.1:On Sunday night, January 9, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs. Motorists should expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.
  • Wednesday January 5 through Wednesday January 12, There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to patch potholes. One northbound lane will remain open.

TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday January 5 through January 12, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: There will be temporary lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair over the Mississippi River:Wednesday January 5 through Wednesday January 12: Beginning at mile marker 9 in Missouri and extending to mile marker 1 in Tennessee. There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:Saturday January 8 through Wednesday January 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between SR 96 and the bridge over the Harpeth River in order to install portable barrier rail. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.):Saturday January 8, 8AM-6PM, and Monday January 10 through Wednesday January 12, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. at Dominican Dr. in order to install the signal at the intersection.


FUTURE I-69
 
TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday January 5 through January 12, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: There will be temporary lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

KNOX COUNTY, I-75 South at Mile Marker 113:On Thursday night, January 6, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs. Motorists should expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Massengill Rd. Bridge over I-81: Motorists should be alert for lane closures controlled by a temporary traffic signal, around the clock through this bridge repair project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, use extreme caution through this area.

 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
