Britton Bridge Employee Dies on Henley Bridge Project

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. ET, January 25, 2011, the Knoxville Fire Department and Knoxville Police Department responded to an accident on the south end of the Henley Bridge.  Emergency responders transported 33-year old John Womac to the UT Medical Center where he later died.  Womac was a foreman with Britton Bridge, LLC.  The Tennessee Department of Occupational Safety and Health (TOSHA) is investigating the accident.
