TDOT to Demolish Bridge over Red River in Clarksville

Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation crews will demolish part of the existing bridge over the Red River on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard (U.S. 79/State Route 13) in Clarksville on Wednesday, January 19, 2011.
Explosives will be detonated at 8:00 p.m. in order to bring down the concrete columns on the southbound bridge. Traffic on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard will be stopped for approximately five minutes as the blast takes place.
