Middle Tennessee Construction September 9 – September 15, 2010

 DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)

       Thursday September 9, 8PM-5AM, The I-40 westbound flyover ramp to northbound Briley Pkwy. will be closed in order to mill, pave, and restripe the ramp.

       Thursday September 9, 8PM-5AM, The right lane of I-40 eastbound will be closed in order to remove barrier wall and stripe the roadway for the flyover ramp.

       Tuesday September 14 and Wednesday September 15, 8PM-5AM, There will be two right lanes closed on I-40 eastbound and one left lane closed on I-40 westbound to install overhead signs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.)

       Thursday September 9 and Wednesday September 15, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. for relocation of barrier rail and paving.

       Saturday September 11, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to shift traffic and do drainage tie-ins.

       Monday September 13 and Wednesday September 15, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 for the removal of bridge overhang jacks.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Median Drainage Improvement on I-24 near MM 53.0

       Friday September 10, 9PM through Sunday September 12, 6AM, There will be one lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound closed in order to remove barrier rail and pour median barrier wall.

 

DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.

o    Briley Pkwy, both directions, between I-40 and Centennial Blvd (MM 6 to MM 27)

o    I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)

o    I-40, both directions, between US 70 and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 196 to MM 222)

o    I-65, both directions, between Concord Rd and Long Hollow Pkwy (MM 70 to MM 97)

o    I-440, both directions, between Hillsboro Pike and I-24 (MM 3 to MM 7)

o    Ellington Pkwy, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and Spring St

o    Vietnam Veterans, both directions, between I-65 and New Shackle Island (MM 0 to MM 5)

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Harding Place) from Franklin Rd. to Recovery Rd.

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 8PM-6AM,  There will be alternating lane closures on Harding Place in order to replace concrete sidewalks, install permanent striping and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 251 (River Rd.) from the Cheatham Co. line to Old Charlotte Pike

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 7AM-3PM, (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 251 in order to install permanent striping and perform guardrail repairs. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

 

REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Williamson, Humphreys, Montgomery and Robertson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

 

REGION 3, Longitudinal Joint Stabilization on Various State Routes

       Thursday September 9 and Sunday September 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 in Maury Co. (LM 0.0-6.1) in order to work on joints.

       Monday September 13 and Tuesday September 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 254 in Davidson Co. (LM 8.24-13.97) in order to work on joints.

 

REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-65 in Maury County from MM 35 to MM 53, and on I-24 from MM 70 to MM 97 in Rutherford County in order to restripe the roadway.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 249

       Now through approximately December 15, SR 249 at LM 4.6 north of Pegram will be closed for emergency slide repair. Detours will be in place.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 near Industrial Park Rd. to US 31

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 6AM-6PM, (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 in order to install guardrail.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 13 (Wilma Rudolph) over the Red River

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (SR 13) southbound over the Red River in order to perform bridge work.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Widening on Waldron Rd (Recovery Act Project)

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15: No closures scheduled.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, SR 109 Widening from SR 76 To SR 52

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15: No closures scheduled.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Concord Rd. from Sunset Rd. to Edmondson Pike

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend) There will be one lane closed on Concord Road from Crockett Rd. to Sunset for building golf cart/walk path and dressing slopes. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation. 

       Now through approximately Thursday September 30, Concord Rd. will be closed from Edmondson Pike to Crockett Rd. in order to widen the roadway. Detours will be in place with message boards.

 

WILSON COUNTY, SR-171 (Mt Juliet Road) Widening: (Recovery Act Project)

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend), There will be temporary lane closures on Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171) northbound and southbound, from Division Street to Lebanon Road for the purpose of performing storm sewer installation and excavation for temporary widening.    

 

WILSON COUNTY, SR 109 widening from I-40 to SR 24

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15: No closures scheduled.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

Davidson County

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

       Thursday September 9 through Wednesday September 15, 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

       Thursday September 9 through Friday morning September 10, 8PM-5AM, The will be lane closures on 21st Avenue from I-440 to Wedgewood Avenue for paving and striping.  One lane will remain open.

       Tuesday September 14, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on State Route 174 (Long Hollow Pike) at the intersection of Conference Drive for milling and paving. One lane will remain open

Wilson County

       Thursday September 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 840 southbound at Stewarts Ferry Pike for paving. One lane will remain open.

       Monday September 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 840 northbound at Stewarts Ferry Pike for paving. One lane will remain open.

       Tuesday September 14 and Wednesday September 15, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 109 in both directions from the Sumner County Line to SR 24 for spot paving. One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Utilities

       Sunday September 12 through Thursday September 30, 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Harding Rd. from Belle Meade Blvd. to Lynnwood Blvd. for utility work. Police officers will be utilized.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
