Deer Rallies Scheduled For March Across West Tennessee

JACKSON --- Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency personnel will be participating in several deer rallies scheduled in March across West Tennessee. Certified TWRA scorers will be present to score deer antlers for the Tennessee Deer Registry. 
 
To qualify to make the Tennessee Registry, all deer antlers must meet the following criteria:
All entrees must have been taken in Tennessee by sport hunting. All antlers must have dried a minimum of 60 days.
 
The scoring system used for the Tennessee Deer Registry is based on the Boone and Crockett system of measurement. Minimum scores to qualify for the Tennessee Registry are as follows: Archery – 115 (typical), 140 (non-typical); Gun/Muzzleloader – 140 (typical), 165 (non-typical).

Houston County., Old Clagherns Building, Tennessee Ridge, Saturday, March 13, 2010, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
 
Fayette County., Brown’s Repair and Sporting Goods, 17605 Hwy 64, Somerville, Thursday, March 18, 2010, 6 p.m.
 
Hardin County., Hopewell Baptist Church, Hwy 128 South, Savannah, Saturday, March 20, 2010, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
 
Tipton County., Haddad’s Dept. Store 69 Crigger St., Munford, Saturday, March 27, 2010, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
