Steve Patrick Named TWRA Assistant Executive Director, Field Operations

NASHVILLE --- Steve Patrick has been named Assistant Executive Director, Field Operations for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Patrick moves to his new position from Regional Manager of TWRA’s Region II.
 
In his Assistant Executive Director’s position, Patrick will be responsible for the coordination of field activities, including all wildlife activities of the four TWRA regional offices and the central office programs pertaining to wildlife management, fisheries management, law enforcement and environmental services.
 
A native of Athens, Tenn., he resided in several East Tennessee communities as a youth, completing his high school education in Morristown. Patrick is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, receiving his B.S. degree in forestry.
 
Patrick joined TWRA in 1976 as a wildlife manager. He has also served as a TWRA forester, Lands Manager Biologist, Assistant Chief of Wildlife, and TWRA Assistant Regional Manager. He was named TWRA Region II manager in 1996. As a region manager, he was responsible for administration and supervision of TWRA programs in a 25-county area in Middle Tennessee.
 
He replaces Ron Fox in the position. Fox retired from TWRA in September 2009.
