REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail: Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in Davidson, Maury, Marshall, and Giles Counties for guardrail repair and installation.
 
CHEATHAM and ROBERTSON COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 8AM-4PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 eastbound and westbound in Cheatham and Robertson Counties between mile marker 23 and mile marker 28 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 8PM-5AM, There will be various lane closures on I-24/I-65 both directions between Dickerson Road and Trinity Lane to repair areas of the roadway.
 
REGION 3 Relensing of Snowplowable Markers on various Interstate Routes
       Sunday September 27 through Wednesday September 30, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile lane closures at the following locations in order to replace snowplowable markers.
o    Davidson- I-24 MM 40-46 & 53-64
o    Rutherford-I-24 MM 70-78 & 81-89
 
REGION 3 Attenuator Repair:Tuesday September 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 westbound to I-65 northbound at the Silliman Evans Bridge in order to repair an attenuator.
 
REGION 3 Attenuator Upgrade (Site-Safe Products)Friday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-24 eastbound at I-440 westbound in order to install an attenuator.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Road (MM 40 to MM 61)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from Noah Fork Creek (LM 3.45/MM100) to US-41 (LM 8.77/MM105): (Recovery Act Project)The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is November 2009. 
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 cable guardrail project from MM 102 to MM 105:  The contractor will have lane closures on I-24 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.  
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from SR-55 (LM 14.72/MM111) to the Arnold Engineering Development Center (LM 20.78/MM117): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is September 2009. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is September 2009. 
 
 
I-124
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 (I-124) repair of 15 bridges from I-24 (MM 0) to the Olgiati Bridge (MM 2.0):  The northbound lanes are all open to traffic. Throughout this report period the contractor will have nightly lane closures on US-27 South from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for bridge deck repairs. One lane will be maintained at all times during this nightly work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on US-27 South daily from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The entrance ramp from west MLK Blvd. onto US-27 (I-124) South is now reopened. Estimated completion date is September 2009.

REGION 4, Maintenance: Monday, October 5 through Friday, October 09. There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River: 
       Monday, September 21 6AM through Friday, September 25 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open). Ramp “NO” open. Ramp “NO” carries Eastbound traffic down off the bridge to Front Street and Riverside Drive. These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
       Friday, September 25 7PM through Monday, September 28 6AM. There will be one lane closed Eastbound (one lane open), one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open). Ramp “NO” closed.
       Monday, September 28 6AM through Friday, October 02 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open). Ramp “NO” one ramp lane closed, (one ramp lane open). Ramp “NO” carries Eastbound traffic down off the bridge to Front Street and Riverside Drive. These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair:
       Tuesday, September 29 through Wednesday September 30, 10PM-2AM, nightly: I-40 Eastbound near SR-300/Watkins, one lane closed, two lanes open.
 
FAYETTE COUNTY, Bridge Repair (5) on I-40: Friday, September 25 8PM through Monday, September 28 6AM, westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to perform partial and full depth deck repair on 4 bridges. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
 
HAYWOOD COUNTY REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair: Wednesday, September 30, 2AM-6AM, nightly: I-40 Eastbound MM 48.8 east of Exit 52, one lane closed, one lane open.
 
MADISON COUNTY, Interstate 40 Resurfacing: Thursday, September 24 eastbound and westbound from 7PM-5AM. The contractor willhavelane closures in order toperformjoint andpavement repairs. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
o    I-40, both directions, between the I-24 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 213 to MM 222), 3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).
o    I-40, Westbound, between US70S and east of Charlotte Pike (MM 196 to MM 203), 2 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).
o    I-40, both directions, between Donelson Pike and Briley Pkwy (MM 216 to MM 215).
    • Friday September 25th 8pm to Monday September 28th 6am, 1 left lane in both directions, 4 lanes to remain open.
       Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27, 6AM-12PM, Right Lane closures at the following locations to stand CCTV poles:

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from Charlotte Pike to Westboro Dr: (Recovery Act Project)
       Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions in order to mill and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open.
       Friday September 25, 8PM-12 Noon Saturday September 26, The exit ramp to Charlotte Pike (MM 201) on I-40 eastbound will be closed for concrete repairs.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange: (Recovery Act Project) Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30: No closures or blasting scheduled.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities:  
       Sunday September 27, 6AM-6PM, On I-40 and Fesslers Bridge Overpass, Davidson County.  This request, by N.E.S., is for transferring nine and adding one new conductor over I-40.  Ten rolling stop blocks are expected.

SMITH COUNTY - I-40 from SR 53 to the Putnam Co. line: (Recovery Act Project) Thursday September 24 through Wednesday September 30, 7PM-6AM, One lane of I-40 eastbound and westbound will be closed in order to mill and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open in each direction.
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 cable guardrail project from MM 273 to MM 276:  The contractor will have lane closures on I-40 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009. 
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 306 to MM 311 (Plateau Road): Work on this project has resumed. The contractor will have nighttime lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for cold planning and resurfacing activities. The Contractor will have daytime shoulder closures to install delineators. Estimated completion date is October 2009. 
 
COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Marker 437 and 438: On Tuesday, September 29, 2009, motorists should be alert for utility workers present in this area between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews install overhead cables. Motorists should be alert for closed shoulders, equipment present and use extreme caution traveling through this area.

       Thursday, September 24 through Wednesday September 30, I-240 northboundand southboundfrom 7PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have lane closures in order to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained at all times. Ramps may be impeded or closed at certain times.
       Thursday, September 23 through Wednesday September 30, I-55 northboundand southboundfrom 7PM-. 6AM, nightly. The contractor will have lane closures in order to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained at all times. Ramps may be impeded or closed at certain times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely. This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 30 northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures for concrete trucks to enter and exit from Phase 1 bridge deck pours. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 ITS cable/radar/electrical installation:
       Thursday, September 24, 9AM-3PM daily. There will be one lane closed Southbound I-55 beginning of MS River Bridge in AR (two lanes open), and extending a mile Southbound into TN past the TN-AR State line, two lanes closed (one lane open).
       Friday, September 25, 9AM-3PM daily. There will be one lane closed Northbound I-55 half a mile prior to the beginning of the MS River Bridge in (TN) (one lane open), and extending a mile Northbound into AR past the TN-AR State Line, one lane closed, (one lane open).
       Saturday, September 26, 9AM-3PM, daily. There will be one lane closed either Northbound or Southbound I-55 half a mile prior to the beginning of the MS River Bridge in (TN or AR) (one lane open), extending the length of the bridge, one lane closed, (one lane open). Depending on what work still remains to be finished.
 
 
I-155

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. They will also implement the following lane closures:
       Thursday, September 24, 2009 & Friday, September 25, 2009: Night Work
10:00 PM until 5:00 AM
o    I-75 NB & SB @ MM 2.0 to 2.5 – Double Left lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
       Monday, September 28, 2009 through Wednesday, September 30, 2009: Night Work
10:00 PM until 5:00 AM
o    I-75 NB & SB @ MM 2.0 to 2.5 – Double Left lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
Estimated completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): Each night throughout this report period, the contractor will have lane closures on I-75 Northbound and Southbound between MM 10 – MM 12 from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning to set new barrier rail, realign existing barrier rail to accommodate paving and demolition operations. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries. One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the newly opened ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. Later in the year the contractor will place a final layer of asphalt on the roadway. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
Estimated completion date is December 2010. 
 
BRADLEY COUNTY, I-75 resurfacing from east of SR-60 (LM 9.75/MM 25) to 4 miles south of the McMinn County Line (LM 15.35/MM 31): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have nightly lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. The only restrictions are for holidays and sporting events, and no closures will exceed three miles. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is September 2009. 
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-75 North and South between I-640 and Callahan Drive (Exit 110): (Recovery Act Project) On Sunday nights through Thursday nights motorists should be alert for possible lane closures on I-75 between I-640 and Callahan Drive between the hours of 8 p.m. (Southbound) 9 p.m. (Northbound) and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert potential long delays and use extreme caution through this area.
 
ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Marker 121 and Mile Maker 122: On Thursday night, September 24, 2009, and Sunday night, September 27, 2009 through Thursday night, October 1, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 142 and 145: On Thursday night, September 24, 2009, and Sunday night, September 27, 2009 through Thursday night, October 1, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South between Mile Markers 144 and 147: On Thursday night, September 24, 2009, and Sunday night, September 27, 2009 through Thursday night, October 1, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Marker 23 (SR 34/US 11E) and Mile Marker 25: Motorists should be alert for workers present through this area as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorists should use caution through this area.
 
Sullivan County, I-81 between South of Exit 63 and North of Exit 69 (Resurfacing): The contractor is continuing this resurfacing project. This work will cause temporary lane closures at night between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday through Friday. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
 
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
