I-24
 
REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson County for guardrail repair and installation.
 
CHEATHAM and ROBERTSON Counties, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 8AM-4PM, (excluding weekends), There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 eastbound and westbound in Cheatham and Robertson Counties between mile marker 23 and mile marker 28 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open. (Weather permitting)
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Road (MM 40 to MM 61)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.

COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 cable guardrail project from MM 102 to MM 105: On September 14 - 16, the contractor will have lane closures on I-24 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project beginning at SR-55 (LM 14.72/MM111) and extending to the Arnold Engineering Development Center (LM 20.78/MM117): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is September 2009.
 
MARION and HAMILTON COUNTIES, I-24 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There are no lane closures scheduled for this time period. Estimated completion date is December 2010.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is September 2009.
 
 
I-124
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 (I-124) repair of 15 bridges from I-24 (MM 0) to the Olgiati Bridge (MM 2.0):  The northbound lanes are all open to traffic. Throughout this report period the contractor will have nightly lane closures on US-27 South from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for bridge deck repairs. One lane will be maintained at all times during this nightly work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on US-27 South daily from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The entrance ramp from west MLK Blvd. onto US-27 (I-124) South is expected to reopen to traffic during this report period. Estimated completion date is September 2009.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River: 
       Thursday, September 10 6AM-7PM.  There will be one lane closed each direction (two lanes open).
       Thursday, September 10 7PM-6AM.  The traffic will be shifted into its final position for this closure with two lanes open both westbound and eastbound.  These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
       Monday, September 14 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed (two lanes open) Eastbound. The two lanes that are closed are side by side. Ramp “NO” will remain open. These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
       Friday, September 18 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes closed Eastbound (one lane open). These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
       Friday, September 18 through Monday, September 21 7PM-6AM. Ramp “NO” will be closed.
       Monday, September 21 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes open Eastbound. Ramp “NO” open. These closures will continue over the next few months, for bridge repair.
 
REGION 4 - SHELBY COUNTY, On-Call Guardrail Repair:Tuesday, September 15 through Wenesday, September 16, 10PM-2AM, nightly:  I-40 Eastbound near Exit 3/Watkins, one lane closed, two lanes open.
 
FAYETTE COUNTY, Bridge Repair (5) on I-40:Friday, September 11 through Monday September 14, westbound from 8PM-6AM. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to perform partial and full depth deck repair. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

REGION 4 - HAYWOOD COUNTY, On-Call Guardrail Repair:
       Monday, September 14, 8PM-10PM, nightly: I-40 Eastbound east of Exit 56, one lane closed, one lane open.
       Monday, September 14, 10PM-12AM, nightly: I-40 Westbound “Off”ramp @ Exit 56/Brownsville, CLOSED.
       Monday, September 14 through Tuesday, September 15, 10PM-2AM, nightly: I-40 Westbound Off”ramp @ Exit 56/Brownsville and one lane closed,one lane open.
       Tuesday, September 15, 2AM-6AM, nightly:  I-40 Eastbound near MM 49 between Exit 42/SR-222and Exit 56/Brownsville, one lane closed, one lane open.
       Wednesday, September 16, 2AM-6AM, nightly:  I-40 Eastbound near MM 49 between Exit 42/SR-222and Exit 56/Brownsville, one lane closed, one lane open.

       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
    • I-40, both directions, between the I-24 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 213 to MM 222), 3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).
    • I-40, Westbound, between Memphis Bristol (US70) and east of Charlotte Pike (MM 196 to MM 203), 2 lanes remain open. (multiple locations for foundation installation).
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from Charlotte Pike to Westboro Dr:(Recovery Act Project) Thursday September 10 and Friday September 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in order to mill and pave the roadway.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)
    Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 10AM-10:15 AM and 1PM-1:15PM, Rolling roadblock for I-40 East bound and Westbound traffic for blasting operations on the south side of I-40 in the White Bridge Road area.  
    Thursday September 10 and Friday September 11; 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Piedmont Natural Gas will close the outside lane of White Bridge Road southbound to work on existing 6” gas line crossing White Bridge and tie over to new line.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities:Sunday September 13,6AM-8AM, Over I-40 at Jo Johnson overpass at mile marker 16.86, Davidson County.  This request by N.E.S. is to replace existing strand and re-lashed cable.  Two (2) rolling stop blocks are expected.
 
REGION 3 Attenuator Repair:Thursday September 10, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closed at the following locations in order to repair damaged attenuators. Also, possible ramp lane closures in order to access damaged attenuator.
    Davidson County-I-40 eastbound at the I-65 southbound split
    Davidson County-I-40 westbound at the I-24 westbound split to Silliman Evans Bridge
 
SMITH COUNTY - I-40 from SR 53 to the Putnam Co. line:(Recovery Act Project) Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 7PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), One lane of I-40 eastbound and westbound will be closed in order to remove snowplowable markers and to mill and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open in each direction.
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing project from MM 267.25 to MM 274: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures to install guardrail and striping between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is September 2009. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 cable guardrail project from MM 273 to MM 276:  On September 14 - 16, the contractor will have lane closures on I-40 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 306 to MM 311 (Plateau Road): Work on this project has resumed. The contractor will have nighttime lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for cold planning and resurfacing activities. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-40 Westbound at the Holston River Bridge (Mile Marker 395):On Tuesday, September 15, 2009 motorists should be alert for a lane closure between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform bridge inspection. Motorists should use caution traveling through this area.

       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 8PM-6AM, each night, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 in both directions in order to remove permanent striping and repaint lines. One lane will remain open in each direction. Also, there will be alternating ramp closures to remove striping.
       Friday September 11, 8PM through Monday September 14, 6AM, I-440 westbound will be closed from I-65 to I-40 for concrete pavement rehabilitation.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:

I-55

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:resurfacing at Mississippi State Line to Nonconnah Creek. Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16. No scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely.  This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday September 10 through Thursday, September 16 northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to drive sheet piling along the interstate at Bridge 1 (MM 9). The contractor will be excavating the bridge abutments this week and needs to drive the sheet piling to safe up the interstate. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
 

I-155
 
DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed.
 
 
I-65

DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-65, both directions between Concord Rd and Long Hollow Pike (MM 70 to MM 97)
       Thursday September 10 through Wednesday September 16, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
    • I-65, both directions, between Concord Rd and the I-440 Interchange (MM 71 to MM 80), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

I-75
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is September 2009.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): Each night throughout this report period, the contractor will have lane closures on I-75 Northbound and Southbound between MM 10 – MM 12 from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning to set new barrier rail, realign existing barrier rail to accommodate paving and demolition operations. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries. One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the newly opened ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. Later in the year the contractor will place a final layer of asphalt on the roadway. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
       The contractor is anticipating a shift of the northbound traffic from its present track onto the new southbound lanes during this report period. Also, demolition of the remainder of the Lee Highway overpass bridge will begin immediately after the northbound traffic switch.
Estimated completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON and BRADLEY COUNTIES, I-75 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There are no lane closures scheduled for this time period. Estimated completion date is December 2010.
 
BRADLEY COUNTY, I-75 resurfacing from east of SR-60 (LM 9.75/MM 25) to 4 miles south of the McMinn County Line (LM 15.35/MM 31): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have nightly lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. The only restrictions are for holidays and sporting events, and no closures will exceed three miles. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is September 2009.
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-75 North and South between I-640 and Callahan Drive (Exit 110):(Recovery Act Project) On Monday night, September 14, 2009 through Thursday night, September 17, 2009 motorists should be alert for lane closures on I-75 between I-640 and Callahan Drive between the hours of 8 p.m. (Southbound) 9 p.m. (Northbound) and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert potential long delays and use extreme caution through this area.
 
ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Marker 121 and Mile Maker 122: On Monday night, September 14, 2009, through Thursday night, September 17, 2009, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 142 and 145: On Monday night, September 14, 2009, through Thursday night, September 17, 2009, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South between Mile Markers 144 and 147:On Monday night, September 14, 2009, through Thursday night, September 17, 2009, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

I-81
 
GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Marker 23 (SR 34/US 11E) and Mile Marker 25:Motorists should be alert for lane closures through this area around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorists should expect potential long delays and use caution through this area.
 
Sullivan County, I-81 between South of Exit 63 and North of Exit 69 (Resurfacing): The contractor has begun this resurfacing project. This work will cause temporary lane closures at night between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday through Friday. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
