32nd Annual Safety & Health Congress July 26 - 29 in Nashville

NASHVILLE – The 32nd Annual Tennessee Safety & Health Congress will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center from Sunday, July 26, through Wednesday, July 29. The conference features safety and health experts leading more than 60 seminars and approximately 100 exhibitors.

 

“Even though we are facing tough economic times, it is important for companies to continue to make safety and health a priority in the workplace,” said Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner James Neeley. “The purpose of this Safety & Health Congress is to help save lives and prevent injury and illness for Tennessee Workers."

 

The conference features safety and health experts leading more than 60 seminars and is designed for safety and health managers, supervisors, plant managers, safety committee members, industrial hygienists, human resource managers, risk managers, health care providers and employees.

 

Workshop topics include Chemical Exposures and Respiratory Protection, Strategies to Reduce Work-Comp Costs, Industrial Ergonomics, OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs, Combustible Dust Hazards and Safety and Health Jeopardy.

 

This year’s keynote speaker is Richard Hawk, a leading expert on reducing workplace accidents by making safety fun and helping leaders increase their influence. Richard has a unique talent for taking serious and often technical topics and giving them an innovative twist to make them lively and captivating. An accomplished guitarist and singer-songwriter, Richard weaves original songs and parodies into his presentations.
