GHSO, AAA & Franklin Police to Warn Drivers Not to Get “Nailed” This Summer

 

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office will join AAA, Tennessee Department of Safety and the Franklin Police Department to launch the annual “100 Days of Summer Heat” enforcement blitz and will unveil a new summer enforcement message Wednesday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Franklin Police Department. 

Middle Tennesseans are already getting the message in a unique way as a number of “nailed” vehicles have been placed in high visibility locations. Vehicles with 10 foot nails driven through the hoods have been appearing in Middle Tennessee since June 22 in an effort to spread the word, “Drive Drunk, Get Nailed.”
