Governor Bredesen to Break Ground on ARRA Project in Tipton County

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen will join Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely and other state and local officials in Tipton County on Wednesday, June 24 to break ground on an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funded project to widen State Route 14 (Austin Peay Highway). The $13.5 million project is one of nearly 200 projects TDOT is funding through the ARRA.
Wednesday’s event will begin at 1:00 PM on SR 14 just north of the SR 206 intersection in Tipton County. The event will last approximately 30 minutes.
