June Nature @ Noontime to Focus on Frogs and Toads

NASHVILLE --- Middle Tennessee frogs and toads and the Tennessee Amphibian Monitoring Program (TAMP) will be the topics at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s next Nature @ Noontime program on Thursday, June 4 from 12-1 p.m. at the TWRA Region II Ray Bell Building located in the Ellington Agricultural Center. Hosted by TWRA’s Information & Education Division, the program is held the first Thursday of each month with the exception of July.
Bob English, TAMP Coordinator, and Pandy English, Wildlife Diversity Coordinator for TWRA's Region II, will speak about the TAMP program as they give a slide and sound program of the frogs and toads of Middle Tennessee. They will talk about identification characteristics, peak calling periods of each species and discuss some of their favorite frog-listening spots along with the challenges that frogs and toads face in today’s environment.
The Nature @ Noontime presentations are about natural resource related topics and last about 30-45 minutes, allowing time for discussion during the allotted lunch hour.
