Fall Creek Falls Schedules Annual Spring Star Party for April 24-26

NASHVILLE – Fall Creek Falls State Park, Cumberland Astronomical Society, Vanderbilt University’s Dyer Observatory and the Astronomy in the Parks Society announced today the 5th Annual Tennessee Spring Star Party will be held April 24-26 at the park. The program is designed to accommodate both beginning stargazers and experienced astronomers.

 

The Tennessee Spring Star Party begins Friday evening with telescope viewing of the beautiful night sky and continues Saturday with astronomy presentations and discussions. There will be more viewing opportunities Saturday evening. Saturday’s events also will include planetarium shows and a special concert.

 

The Fall Creek Falls Spring Star Party is free and open to the public. It is not necessary to have a telescope to take part.
