NASHVILLE – Pickwick Landing State Park’s Inn and Conference Center was recently presented with ConventionSouth Magazine’s annual Reader’s Choice Award for 2009. The park was one of four meeting sites in the state of Tennessee to receive this prestigious award.

Recognized as the leader in covering the South's meetings industry for the last 26 years, ConventionSouth Magazine solicited more than 18,000 meeting professionals across the nation to name the convention and visitors’ bureaus, convention centers, conference centers, hotels, resorts and other meeting sites they believe display exemplary creativity and professionalism to groups.

“It is an honor that Pickwick Landing State Park was selected by top meeting planners as one of the best in the South,” said Environment and Conservation Commissioner Jim Fyke. “Out of approximately 2,000 meeting sites, only the top vote getters received this recognition and we are very proud of our team at Pickwick and the hard work they put forth every day.”

Pickwick Landing shared the ConventionSouth’s top honor with Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, the Hardin County CVB in Savannah and The Peabody in Memphis.
