DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-12 midnight, (excluding weekends), There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)
       Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
o    I-24, both directions, between the I-440 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 52 to MM 62), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation.)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from Noah Fork Creek (LM 3.45/MM100) to US-41 (LM 8.77/MM105): (Recovery Act Project)The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform punch list items with joint sealant. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is December 2009.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. The contractor will implement lane closures at the following location between the hours of 10:00 pm. and 5:00 a.m. the next morning
to install the overhead structures for the Dynamic Message Signs. To maintain safety to the motoring public, this work over the affected traffic lanes will require pacing traffic while the structures are being lifted into position. Possible traffic stoppage for a maximum of 15 minutes can be expected at the locations listed below. Delays can be experienced during those hours. Should weather require the scheduled work at each location to be postponed, the structures will be installed on the next available night.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)
       Thursday December 3 and Friday December 4, 10 AM and 1PM, Rolling roadblocks for I-40 East bound and Westbound traffic for blasting operations on the north side of I-40 in the White Bridge Road area. Traffic will also be stopped on Robertson Rd., Urbandale Ave., and White Bridge Rd.
       Saturday December 5, 6AM-6PM, There will be intermittent lane closures on Robertson Rd. at the intersection of Urbandale Ave. in order to install bridge beams over Robertson Rd. Closures should not exceed 30 minutes at one time. 
 
REGION 3 Installation of Cable Barrier:Thursday December 3 through Tuesday December 8, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Friday and Saturday), There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Wilson County from MM 225 to MM 231 in order to install cable barrier. One lane will remain open.
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have daytime shoulder closures in order to place signs on project. The nighttime lane closures will be needed to place mix and set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated completion date is July 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing project from MM 267.25 to MM 274: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures to perform stone and striping operations between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is December 2009. 
 
ROANE COUNTY, I-40 Eastbound and Westbound between Mile Markers 341.40 and 361.70: On Tuesday night, December 8, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for workers present and lane closures as crews repair guardrail and use extreme caution through this area.
 
COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East near the North Carolina State Line: I-40 East remains closed near the North Carolina state line due to a rockslide approximately three miles inside North Carolina. I-40 East is closed just east of the Waterville Exit (Exit 451). I-40 thru traffic should follow I-81 North (Exit 421) to I-26 East (Exit 57A) towards Asheville, however, all exits on I-40 in Tennessee are open and accessible. For updated information, go to http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/rockslide.htm

       Thursday December 3 through Wednesday December 9, 9AM-3PM, Various ramps on I-440 Eastbound and Westbound will be shifted to begin concrete repairs. Traffic will be maintained on these ramps. 
       Friday December 4, 8PM through Monday December 7, 6AM, I-440 westbound will be closed from I-24 to I-65 for concrete repairs.

KNOX COUNTY, Eastbound I-640 East of Broadway:On Monday, December 7, 2009 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., motorists should be alert for a lane closure of the inside lane of I-640 Eastbound as crews perform maintenance repairs. Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, reduced speed limit and use extreme caution through this area.

REGION 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers on various Interstates & State Routes:
o    SHELBY COUNTY
o    Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4. I-55 northboundand southbound MM 6.40 to MM 12.28 from 6PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely. This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday, December 3 through Wednesday, December 9, northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to work on interstate bridge construction (Bridges 1 & 2). One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed.
o    Wednesday, December 2 7AM through Wednesday, December 9 7AM (24 hours), westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to re-paint the steel structure and perform concrete repairs. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Once the contractor starts he has to keep going till he is finished.

       Saturday December 5, 9AM-11:30 AM, The right lane of Interstate 65 southbound between MM 97 and MM 98 will be closed for the purpose of ITS System Maintenance. One lane will remain open.
 
SUMNER COUNTY, Bridge repair of two bridges on I-65 over U.S. 31W & on US 31W over US 41
       Monday December 7 through Wednesday December 9, 8PM-6AM, The bridge on U.S. 31W over U.S. 41 will be reduced to one lane for repairs.

I-75 SB @ MM 6.7 – Alternating Left & Right lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
I-75 NB @ MM 2.0 – Alternating Left & Right lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
I-75 SB @ MM 2.5 – Left lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
Estimated completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): The contractor will only need a lane closure on I-75 during this period if there is an emergency situation which requires maintenance of items. If a lane closure is required, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. 
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries. One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
Estimated completion date is December 2010. 
 
LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 Southbound between Mile Markers 74.30 and 83.20: On Tuesday night, December 8, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for workers present and lane closures as crews repair guardrail and use extreme caution through this area.

GREENE COUNTY, I-81 Southbound at Mile Marker 19.60: On Monday night, December 7, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for workers present and lane closures as crews repair guardrail and use extreme caution through this area.
 
SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 between South of Exit 63 and North of Exit 69 (Resurfacing): The contractor is finishing up this resurfacing project. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
