Health Commissioner to Unveil New H1N1 Vaccination PSA Campaign, Receive H1N1 Flu Shot

NASHVILLE – Health Commissioner Susan R. Cooper will join United States Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin via conference call to announce a new H1N1 public service announcement (PSA) campaign urging Tennesseans to get vaccinated against the H1N1 flu. In the PSA, Governor Phil Bredesen teams up with one of America’s favorite scientists – Jim Henson’s “Sid the Science Kid” – to promote important flu messages targeted at children and parents.
 
Closely following the conference call, Cooper will receive her H1N1 flu vaccination to demonstrate the importance of Tennesseans receiving their H1N1 flu vaccination this influenza season.
