COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East near the North Carolina State Line: I-40 East remains closed near the North Carolina state line due to a rockslide approximately three miles inside North Carolina. I-40 East is closed just east of the Waterville Exit (Exit 451). I-40 thru traffic should follow I-81 North (Exit 421) to I-26 East (Exit 57A) towards Asheville, however, all exits on I-40 in Tennessee are open and accessible. For updated information, go to http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/rockslide.htm
 
GREENE COUNTY, I-81 North at Exit 23 (US 11E/SR 34):Beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday night, November 14, 2009 through approximately 10 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009, I-81 Northbound traffic will be diverted off of I-81 North at Exit 23, across US 11E and back onto the interstate at the entrance ramp as crews perform repairs to bridge beams. Motorists should be alert for uniformed officers directing traffic through the intersections of the I-81 ramps and US 11E. Motorists should be alert for a lane closure approaching Mile Marker 23 on I-81 North and be alert for slowed and/or stopped traffic. Motorists should expect potential long delays through this area during this time. Motorists on US 11E approaching the I-81 interchange should be alert for officers directing traffic and expect major delays. Motorists on US 11E should consider alternate routes during this time.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West Flyover Ramp to I-40 East: The flyover ramp from I-640 West to I-40 East is reduced from two lanes to one around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorist should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. The estimated completion date for this project is November 15, 2009.
 
KNOX COUNTY, SR 1 Kingston Pike over Norfolk Southern Railroad at Forrest Park Blvd: Kingston Pike is reduced to one lane in each direction with a center turn lane around the clock for bridge repairs. On Monday, November 16, 2009 through Friday, November 20, 2009, motorists should be alert for flag persons directing traffic at various times through this area. North Forest Park Blvd. is closed at the intersection with Kingston Pike and motorists should use Newcom Avenue for access. Motorists should use caution when traveling through this area.

KNOX COUNTY, Campbell Station Road between I-40 and Kingston Pike (SR 1):(Recovery Act Project) Motorists should be alert for construction activities and workers present through this widening project. Motorists should be alert for new traffic patterns, lane shifts and use caution through this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 Lovell Road between Gilbert Drive and Pellissippi Parkway: Motorists should be alert for workers present and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.
 
ANDERSON COUNTY, SR 61 Bridge over Poplar Creek in Oliver Springs:(Recovery Act Project)Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures through this bridge widening project. Motorists should use caution through this area.

BLOUNT COUNTY, SR 335 Hunt Road at US 129 Alcoa Hwy: Motorist should be alert for possible lane closures, with flag persons directing traffic, thru this area on Monday nights thru Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following morning.   Motorist should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution thru this intersection improvement project.

CLAIBORNE & GRAINGER COUNTIES, US 25E (SR 32):Motorists should be alert for possible blasting operations occurring weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This work will result in traffic stops during blasting operations and for cleanup afterwards. Motorists should expect potential long delays through this area. Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, flaggers, narrow lanes, possible falling rock, and use extreme caution through this area. WIDE LOADS OVER 12 FEET ARE NOT PERMITTED THROUGH THIS PROJECT.
 
GREENE COUNTY, SR 34 / US 11E underneath I-81:Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and workers present in this area as crews perform overhead bridge repairs. Beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday night, November 14, 2009 through approximately 10 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009, motorists on US 11E approaching the I-81 interchange should be alert for officers directing traffic and expect major delays. Motorists on US 11E should consider alternate routes during this time.
 
MONROE COUNTY, Griffith Branch Road over Notchy Creek: (Recovery Act Project) Griffith Branch Road is closed to thru traffic and motorists should follow signed detour route.
 
MORGAN COUNTY, SR 62 between SR 29/US 27 and Petit Lane:Motorists should use caution traveling through this area and be alert for changed conditions. Motorists should be alert for flag persons directing traffic at various times through this widening project. Motorists should be alert for new lane shifts through this area.

ROANE / ANDERSON COUNTY, SR 95 between Westover Drive and SR 62 Illinois Avenue:State Route 95 is reduced to one lane in each direction through this widening project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, changed conditions and use caution through this area.
 
SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville between SR 338 (Boyds Creek) and Nichols St.: (Recovery Act Project) 
Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrowed lanes, and workers present through this widening project. Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily through this project for blasting. Motorists should expect potential delays and use extreme caution traveling through this area.
 
SEVIER COUNTY, LeConte St. over West Prong of the Little Pigeon River in Gatlinburg: (Recovery Act Project) 
LeConte Street has been reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Motorists should use extreme caution in this area.
 
SEVIER COUNTY, Roaring Fork Extension Rd. over Roaring Fork Creek in Gatlinburg: (Recovery Act Project) 
Motorists should be alert for construction and temporary detours in this area.

UNION COUNTY, SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake): Motorists should be alert for workers present as crews mobilizing equipment to begin bridge construction. Motorists should reduce speeds and use extreme caution through this area.

UNION COUNTY, SR 33 between South of SR 144 (Hickory Star Rd.) and SR 61 East: Motorists should be alert for crews installing construction signs, mobilizing equipment and use caution through this widening project.

UNION COUNTY, Sharps Chapel Road between Lambdin Ridge Rd. and Brewer Hollow Rd.:  Motorist should be alert for flag persons directing traffic between Lambdin Ridge Rd. and Brewer Hollow Rd. at various times thru this bridge replacement project.
