REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail: Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate routes in Davidson, Rutherford, Dickson, Maury, Giles, Robertson, and Williamson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.
 
REGION 3 Retracing of Painted Markings on Interstate and State Routes:Thursday October 8 through Thursday October 15, 8AM-5PM each day,There will be various rolling closures in Cheatham, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, Davidson and Williamson Counties on State Routes in order to retrace pavement marking.
 
REGION 3 Relensing of Snowplowable Markers on various Interstate and State Routes
       Sunday October 11 through Wednesday October 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile lane closures at the following locations in order to replace snowplowable markers.
o    Montgomery I-24 MM 0 to 17.2
o    Cheatham I-24 MM 17 to 18 & 26 to 28.5
o    Robertson I-24 MM 18 to 29
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 15, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Road (MM 40 to MM 61)
       Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
    • I-24, both directions, between the I-440 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 52 and MM 62), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation.)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.
 
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday October 8 through Friday October 9, 7PM-12AM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 westbound in Rutherford County between mile marker 73 and mile marker 74 in order to patch potholes.  One lane will remain open.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from Noah Fork Creek (LM 3.45/MM100) to US-41 (LM 8.77/MM105): (Recovery Act Project)The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is November 2009.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 cable guardrail project from MM 102 to MM 105:  The contractor will have lane closures on I-24 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from SR-55 (LM 14.72/MM111) to the Arnold Engineering Development Center (LM 20.78/MM117): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing from US-72/SR-27/SR-150 (LM 17.61) at MM 152 to the Tennessee River (LM 25.84) at MM 161: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures between the hours of 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is December 2009.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. They will also implement the following lane closures:
Thursday, October 8, 2009: Night Work 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM
       I-24 EB @ MM 181.5 to 182.5 – Right lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
Monday, October 12, 2009 through Wednesday, October 14, 2009: Night Work 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM
       I-24 WB @ MM 182.8 to 181.5 – Right lane closure. Two lanes are to remain open.
Estimated completion date is December 2010.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
 
I-124
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 (I-124) repair of 15 bridges from I-24 (MM 0) to the Olgiati Bridge (MM 2.0):  The northbound lanes are all open to traffic. Throughout this report period the contractor will have nightly lane closures on US-27 South from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for bridge deck repairs. One lane will be maintained at all times during this nightly work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on US-27 South daily from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The entrance ramp from west MLK Blvd. onto US-27 (I-124) South is now reopened. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
 
I-26
 
Washington County, I-26 Bridge over Boones Creek Road (SR 354)(Bridge Repair): The contractor will begin placing signs on Friday October 2, 2009 and work will begin on Saturday October 3, 2009. This work is weekend work and will cause a reduction in lanes on SR 354 and closure of the outside shoulder on I-26 Eastbound. Work is to take place from Friday nights at 7:00 pm to Monday at 6:00 am. Motorists please use caution in this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River 
       Thursday, October 08 6AM until Friday, October 09 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Friday, October 09 7PM through Monday, October 12 6AM. There will be two lane closed Westbound (one lane open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Monday, October 12 6AM through Wednesday, October 14. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open). NOTE: Any delays due to weather will cause these closures to be canceled or postponed to the next day.

       Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, I-40 westbound MM 133.0 to MM 132.0 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
 
BENTON COUNTY, Attenuator Upgrade on I-40 MM 133 (Birdsong Road):Sunday, October 11 8PM and Monday, October 12 6AMI-40 Eastbound MM 133/Birdsong RoadThe contractorwill have lane closures in order to upgrade the existing attenuator in the median.  One lane will be maintained at all times.
 
FAYETTE COUNTY, Bridge Repair (5) on I-40:Friday, October 9 8PM through Monday, October 12 6AM, westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to perform partial and full depth deck repair on 4 bridges. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from US 70S to Charlotte Pike:(Recovery Act Project) Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions in order to mill and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project) Twin Street and Snyder Avenue will be closed starting Monday, October 5, 2009. Traffic will be detoured to Stevenson Street. Only local traffic will be allowed on Twin Street.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 (Lu, Inc.)Thursday October 8 through Wednesday October 14, 8PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), There will be one lane of I-40 eastbound and westbound closed at MM 209 in order to place barrier rail and prepare for new sign foundation. Two lanes will remain open.
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing project from MM 267.25 to MM 274: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will have lane closures to perform stone and striping operations between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 306 to MM 311 (Plateau Road): Work on this project has resumed. The contractor will have nighttime lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for pavement marking activities. Estimated completion date is October 2009.

SHELBY COUNTY
       Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, I-55 northbound MM 6.0 to MM 10.5 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely. This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 14, northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to work on interstate bridge construction (Bridges 3 & 4). One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, Attenuator Upgrade: Monday, October 12 8PM and Tuesday, October 13 6AM. I-55 Westbound MM 12.3/Mississippi River BridgeThe contractorwill have lane closures in order to upgrade the existing attenuator on the shoulder. One lane will be maintained at all times.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed. Tuesday, October 13 7AM through Thursday, October 15 7AM, westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to re-paint the steel structure and perform concrete repairs. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Once the contractor starts he has to keep going till he is finished.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): The contractor will only need a lane closure on I-75 during this period if there is an emergency situation which requires maintenance of items. If a lane closure is required, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. 
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries.  One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the newly opened ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. Later in the year the contractor will place a final layer of asphalt on the roadway. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
Estimated completion date is December 2010.
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-75 North and South between I-640 and Callahan Drive (Exit 110):(Recovery Act Project) On Thursday night October 8, 2009 motorists should be alert for possible lane closures on I-75 between I-640 and Callahan Drive between the hours of 8 p.m. (Southbound) 9 p.m. (Northbound) and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert potential long delays and use extreme caution through this area.
 
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 142 and 145:On Thursday night, October 8, 2009, and Sunday night, October 11, 2009 through Thursday night, October 15, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
 
CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South between Mile Markers 144 and 147:On Thursday night, October 8, 2009, and Sunday night, October 11, 2009 through Thursday night, October 15, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

Sullivan County, I-81 between South of Exit 63 and North of Exit 69 (Resurfacing): The contractor is continuing this resurfacing project. This work will cause temporary lane closures at night between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday through Friday. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
