REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Maury, Marshall, Smith, Giles and Robertson, Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-24, both directions between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Road (MM 40 to MM 61)
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
    • I-24, both directions, between the I-440 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 52 and MM 62), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation.)
 
THOMAS & ASSOCIATES: Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, each day, 2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound and westbound near Waldron Rd. (Exit 64) for blasting. Local police officers will be utilized for this operation.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from Noah Fork Creek (LM 3.45/MM100) to US-41 (LM 8.77/MM105): (Recovery Act Project)the contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is November 2009.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 cable guardrail project from MM 102 to MM 105:  The contractor will have lane closures on I-24 East to install cable guardrail between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009.

COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from SR-55 (LM 14.72/MM111) to the Arnold Engineering Development Center (LM 20.78/MM117): (Recovery Act Project) the contractor will have lane closures from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activity. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing from US-72/SR-27/SR-150 (LM 17.61) at MM 152 to the Tennessee River (LM 25.84) at MM 161: (Recovery Act Project) the contractor will have lane closures between the hours of 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning to perform resurfacing activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated completion date is December 2009.
 
MARION and HAMILTON COUNTIES, I-24 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. Estimated completion date is December 2010.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is October 2009.
 
 
I-124
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 (I-124) repair of 15 bridges from I-24 (MM 0) to the Olgiati Bridge (MM 2.0):  The northbound lanes are all open to traffic. Throughout this report period the contractor will have nightly lane closures on US-27 South from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for bridge deck repairs. One lane will be maintained at all times during this nightly work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on US-27 South daily from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The entrance ramp from west MLK Blvd. onto US-27 (I-124) South is now reopened. Estimated completion date is October 2009. 


I-26
 
WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-26 Bridge over Boones Creek Road (SR 354)(Bridge Repair): The contractor is continuing this bridge repair project. This work is weekend work and will cause a reduction in lanes on SR 354 and closure of the outside shoulder on I-26 Eastbound. Work is to take place from Friday nights at 7:00 pm to Monday at 6:00 am. Motorists please use caution in this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River 
       Thursday, October 29 6AM until Friday October 30 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Friday, October 30 7PM through Monday, November 2 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (one lane open), one lane closed Eastbound (one lane open).
       Monday, November 2 6AM until 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Monday, November 2 7PM until Tuesday, November 3 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes closed Eastbound (one lane open).
       Tuesday November 3 6AM until 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Tuesday November 3 7PM until Wednesday November 4 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes closed Eastbound (one lane open).
       Wednesday November 4 6AM until 7PM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), one lane closed Eastbound (two lanes open).
       Wednesday November 4 7PM until Thursday November 5 6AM. There will be one lane closed Westbound (two lanes open), two lanes closed Eastbound (one lane open). NOTE: Work during the weekend closure will be located east of the arch spans; neither ramp will be closed. Any delays due to weather will cause these closures to be canceled or postponed to the next day.

SHELBY COUNTY, REGION 4, Installation of Longitudinal Cable Barrier Rail on various Interstate Routes:
       Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, I-40 westbound MM 25.0 to MM 18.0 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Friday, October 30. SR-385 (Paul Barrett) eastbound MM 4.0 to MM 15.07AM-6PM, daily. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Monday, November 2 through Wednesday, November 4. SR-385 (Paul Barrett) eastbound MM 4.0 to MM 15.0 from 7AM-7PM daily. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Wednesday November 4 and Thursday November 5, I-40 westbound @ Sam Cooper & White Station MM 11.5 to MM 11.0 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Bridge Repair (5) on I-40:Friday, October 30 8PM through Monday, November 2 6AM, westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to remove the existing surface, repairing the bridge deck and repaving 1 bridge at LM-6.40 (MM 33.40). One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. 

MADISON COUNTY, REGION 4, Installation of Longitudinal Cable Barrier Rail on various Interstate:
       Friday, October 30. I-40 westbound MM 87.0 to MM 85.0 from 8PM-6AM, The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Sunday, November 1 and Monday November 2, I-40 eastbound MM 83.0 to MM 86.0 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Monday November 2 through Wednesday, November 4, I-40 westbound MM 84.0 to MM 86.0 from 8PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Sunday, November 1 and Monday November 2, I-40 westbound MM 76.0 to MM 75.0 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Sunday, November 1 and Monday November 2, I-40 eastbound MM 68.0 to MM 70.0 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.
       Monday November 2 and Tuesday, November 3, I-40 westbound MM 86.5 to MM 88.2 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.

HENDERSON COUNTY: REGION 4, Installation of Longitudinal Cable Barrier Rail on various Interstate Routes:
       Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 4, I-40 eastbound MM 100.00 to MM 101.00 from 8PM-6AM nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.

BENTON COUNTY, Region 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers on various Interstates Routes:Sunday, November 1 through Friday, November 6, I-40 westboundand eastbound MM 120.0 to Exit 116/SR-114, Natchez Trace from 6PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have one lane maintained at all times.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-40, both directions between US-70 and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 196 to MM 222)
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
o    I-40, both directions, between the I-24 Interchange and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 213 to MM 222), 3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).
o    I-40, Westbound, between US70S and east of Charlotte Pike (MM 196 to MM 203), 2 lanes remain open. (multiple locations for foundation installation).
o    I-40, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and Spence Lane (MM 215 to 213)
·         Friday 8pm to Monday 5am, one left lane closed in both directions for median foundation work.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)
       Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30, 8PM-6AM, On the I-40 Westbound on-ramp at White Bridge flagging of traffic will occur to allow placement of barrier rail.
       Monday November 2 through Wednesday November 4, 10AM and 1PM, each day, Rolling roadblocks for I-40 East bound and Westbound traffic for blasting operations on the north side of I-40 in the White Bridge Road area. Traffic will also be stopped on Robertson Rd., Urbandale Ave., and White Bridge Rd.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 (Lu, Inc.)
       Saturday October 31, 11PM-5AM, On I-40 eastbound at MM 209, there will be 5 rolling roadblocks in order to install an overhead sign. Police officers will be utilized for this operation.
       Saturday October 31, 11PM-5AM, On I-40 westbound at MM 226, there will be 1 rolling roadblock in order to work on an overhead sign. Police officers will be utilized for this operation.

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing project from MM 267.25 to MM 274: (Recovery Act Project) the contractor will have lane closures to perform stone and striping operations between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2009. 
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 306 to MM 311 (Plateau Road): Work on this project is complete and awaiting completion of punchlist items. Estimated completion date is October 2009.

    • I-440, both directions, between Nolensville Rd and I-24, (MM 6 and MM 7)
·         Wednesday & Thursday, Monday & Tuesday, possible double right or left lane closures to install conduit on Bridge Crossing I-440, one direction at a time.
 
 
I-640
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West Flyover Ramp to I-40 East: The flyover ramp from I-640 West to I-40 East is reduced from two lanes to one around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorist should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. The estimated completion date for this project is November 15, 2009.
 
 
I-55

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 Resurfacing at Mississippi state line to Nonconnah Creek:
       Thursday, October 29 through Wednesday, November 4: I-240 northboundand southboundfrom 7PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have lane closures in order to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained at all times. Ramps may be impeded or closed at certain times.
       Thursday, October 29 through Wednesday, November 4: I-55 northboundand southboundfrom 7PM-6AM, nightly. The contractor will have lane closures in order to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained at all times. Ramps may be impeded or closed at certain times.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: Widening of exist bridges, 3 lanes reduced to 2 each direction. Southbound will be shifted to the newly widening roadway. Traffic switched to new roadway. There will no longer be access to Mallory (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Use Third St (Exit 7) detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed indefinitely. This existing section of roadway will be new location of the northbound I-55 entrance ramp. Use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday, November 4, northbound from 9AM-3PM. The contractor will haveintermittent lane closures to work on interstate bridge construction (Bridges 3 & 4). One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.
       Wednesday, November 4, northbound from 9PM-12AM. The contractor will close both northbound lanes on I-55 to repair damage to the roadway. Northbound I-55 traffic will be diverted to I-240 during this three hour time period. If the work cannot be done Wednesday night, it will be rescheduled for Thursday night. One lane will be maintained at all times.
 

I-155
 
DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: bridge repairs, over Mississippi River. Northbound and Southbound shoulders are closed.
       Friday, October 30 7AM through Friday, November 6 7AM (24 hours), westbound and eastbound. The contractorwill have lane closures in order to re-paint the steel structure and perform concrete repairs. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Once the contractor starts he has to keep going till he is finished.

 
I-65

DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM. There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
o    I-65, both directions between Concord Rd and Long Hollow Pike (MM 70 to MM 97)
       Thursday October 29 through Wednesday November 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be periodic short term night time lane closures at the following locations to install device foundations, DMS foundation installation, and shoulder paving.
    • I-65, both directions, between Concord Rd and the I-440 Interchange (MM 71 to MM 80), 2-3 lanes remain open (multiple locations for foundation installation).

SUMMER COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
       Monday November 2 and Tuesday November 3, 7PM-5AM, I-65 northbound in Sumner County at Log Mile 97.0. The right lane will be closed for grinding and paving. One lane will remain open.
 

I-75
 
HAMILTON and BRADLEY COUNTIES, I-75 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. Estimated completion date is December 2010.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 / I-24 sign installation project at various locations in the vicinity of the 1-24 / I-75 Split, including paving: This project is complete. Estimated completion date is October 2009.

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11): The contractor will only need a lane closure on I-75 during this period if there is an emergency situation which requires maintenance of items. If a lane closure is required, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. 
       The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge demolition and gas line construction. However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries. One lane will remain open at all times.
       The temporary slip ramp to I-75 South is now open at Hilltop Drive. Drivers needing to access I-75 South from the Hunter Road area can now do so by using the newly opened ramp at hilltop Drive, avoiding the Ooltewah interchange altogether. The slip ramp has its own dedicated lane onto the interstate so drivers accessing I-75 South via ramp are not required to merge when entering the interstate. The temporary ramp will be in place for the remainder of the project.
       The bridge on Old Lee highway is now open to traffic. Later in the year the contractor will place a final layer of asphalt on the roadway. The truck station located at the end of the project on I-75 South is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
Estimated completion date is December 2010.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 142 and 145:On Thursday night, October 29, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South between Mile Markers 144 and 147:On Thursday night, October 29, 2009 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North through this area as crews install longitudinal cable barrier. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

I-81
 
SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 between South of Exit 63 and North of Exit 69 (Resurfacing): The contractor is continuing this resurfacing project. This work will cause temporary lane closures at night between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am Sunday through Friday. Motorist will also encounter narrowed ramps at Exit 63, 66 and 69 as the contractor works on repairing these ramps. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area.
 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
 
Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
