WHAT:            2009 Tennessee Department of Education LEADership Conference for                                School and District Leaders

WHEN:           Monday, Oct. 5 – Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009

Conference sessions will focus on:

• Leadership:  Strengthening leadership at the school and district levels to improve learning
• Assessment:  Using data purposefully to increase student achievement
• Instruction:  Applying researched-based strategies to improve student achievement
• Support Systems:  Improving learning through classroom management, community/parental involvement, school climate, etc
