Services Available at Career Centers in Athens and Chattanooga

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development is closing the Career Center located in Cleveland on Wednesday, January 14, at noon. The office is located at 173 Broad Street SW. Job seekers may receive employment services through either the Athens Career Center or the Chattanooga Career Center. Addresses are provided below.
 
The Athens Career Center is closing the current location at 901 N. Congress Parkway at 2:00 on Wednesday, January 14. It will reopen at the new location, 410 Congress Parkway (the old Cleveland State Building) on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:00.
 
Tennessee Career Centers are where people and jobs connect. Employers find qualified workers and job seekers find employment opportunities. All centers offer computerized labor market information, Internet access, and workshops in addition to job placement, recruitment, and training referrals.
 
The Career Centers also answer questions concerning unemployment and how to file claims. Local claimants may file unemployment claims by calling 1.877.813.0950 or by filing online at http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/labor/.
 
Career Center hours are 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
